[lace] Picture on Flicker
My dear friends, I had Lin put up a picture of a lace handkerchief on Flicker for me today. What I want to know is does anyone know where to get this pattern? Do you know the lace maker? I am sure it is from Spain but I don't know where. Thanks for your help. [lace] Happy Anniversary
I joined just after the first anniversary. That's when I got my computer, and the first thing I typed in was 'lace'. I learned so much from the List. I just finished a Binche project from a class I took about 15 years ago. When I pulled it off the shelf, it was 3/4 done so I've been working on it. Now I need to explore my shelves and see what else I can discover to finish next. Or check out new patterns and choose something to start. Either way, I need a project on hand on the off-chance that we get to do a demo sometime during the summer. Re: [lace] Happy Anniversary
Thanks for the memory Tamara! I am proud that I joined very shortly after Arachne was formed...May or June of 1995. I was seriously searching for other lacemakers then and very happily found Arachne! Re: [lace] Happy Anniversary
Happy Anniversary to all fellow lacemakers ... May it long continue. I think it was 1998 or there about that I joined. Am not making as much lace these days but have joined a class that hopes to restart in June (everything crossed that it does) but I have recently started a piece of torchon lace called “Cottage Garden” from Lacewings Designs which has some stitches I have never done and lots to revisit. Take care everyone x x x x and thank you for the group x x x Sent from my iPhone > On 13 Apr 2021, at 06:38, Angel wrote: > > Oh yes! [lace] Happy Anniversary
This was posted, by Liz S Reynolds (who started the list), on April 12, 2000, under the heading: Happy Birthday to us: "For the record, today is the 5th birthday of the original lace list. Between lace and lace-chat and the digests, we have 1120 members. Who'd have thought there were that many lacemakers on the net? I certainly wouldn't have guessed it back in 1995! Congratulations to all of us for bringing the old Renaissance art so successfully into the Information age. -Liz" -- Tamara P Duvallhttp://t-n-lace.net/ Lexington, Virginia, USA (Formerly of Warsaw, Poland) - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here.
