[lace] Lace affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma?
Some of us would like to know whether individual lace makers and members of local lace guilds have lost all their lace treasures due to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.  The geographic area affected includes islands in the Caribbean, as well as Texas, Florida, and neighboring states.  Do individuals and guilds need help getting back to lace-related activities?  Were your museum lace collections damaged?  Is this something Arachne members would like to support?  If you wish for your reply to be private, please send directly to me.  Jeri Ames in Maine USA Lace and Embroidery Resource Center   - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. [lace] New "improved" AOL gold version reaching everyone?
I am testing a new AOL protocol that was forced on me by AOL 2 days ago.  I was typing a personal thank you to Liz in Australia about her concern for lace makers in flooded Florida.  AOL cut in and shut me down (losing all that had been written).   AOL has gone to a new "improved" gold version.  A memo to Arachne yesterday about using lace samples for lacy boudoir pillows (Normandy Lace) got rejected.  Will try to send that one again.   Devon and Sue B. - please let me know if you receive 2 copies of this letter in your gmail, one from Arachne's subscriber list, plus the bcc to you.  A - blind carbon copy - will eliminate everyone else getting something extra on the cc - carbon copy - line, and they should not see the bcc's either.  Thanks.  Jeri Ames in Maine USA - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Re: [lace] Subject line: color code = ghost pillow
Re - Managing Subject Lines on Arachne in a responsible way  Good luck.  I have often asked that Subject Lines get more attention, and have seen little improvement.  For example, my dismay is with those messages that are "Sad News" that do not get filed under a deceased lace person's name in the archives.  Often, I add something to the Subject Line or remove something vague and replace with something more easy for the Arachne computer program to file - and then give a reply - so the discussion will get where it should.    Jeri Ames in Maine USA -- In a message dated 9/16/2017 4:49:00 AM Eastern Standard Time, yhgr@xs4all.nl writes:  Please stay on topic with the subject line or change it. I see tons of posts with topic "color code" while the content is about ghost pillows. Very confusing when skimming posts based on the subject line. - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here.
