As a commercial designer of lace, I am quite happy for people to show off the lace they have made from my patterns and especially I enjoy seeing them give me credit for the design, but what I am not happy with is one person buying a pattern and then making tens of copies to distribute to their friends. Now that is the true meaning of copyright theft as it robs me of the few pennies I make for all my hard work in designing the pattern and working the sample to produce a pattern that others will want to make. I don't need to tell you how many hours that takes!!!!! Regards Rikki (not my real name, just the one I use to preserve my anonymity)
