Lots of juicy details about the construction & provenance, plus bonus references to similar vestments at V & St. Gallen. You’ve helped the reader place The Met vestments in context. IMHO—The Met chasuble is all the more beautiful because it is not appliqued & competing with a luxurious ground fabric. So sorry I can’t help you with further research. Good Morning Elena and others I am in Campbelltown (near Sydney), New South Wales, Austraila. A number of years ago I was given a book on Ecclesiastical lace. It seems to be a record of -3rd Biennale Internazionale del Merlerto, 13th to 28th Septtembre 1997. The Lace is Cantu and - a cura di Marialuisa Rizzini. My interest in Ecclesiastical lace is filet crochet, but I have held on to the book in case I found someone who needed it. If you are interested, Please let me know and I will post it to you.
