Re: [lace] Gon Homburg
Gon, and your team of lace teachers, I would like to heartily endorse Anna's vote of thanks to you all. You have given so generously to the lace community over the last few years with these weekly offerings. I have downloaded all the edging patterns, as I am sure many others have and printed to pdfs summaries of each year so that I can readily see what the choices are. Thank you so much - your lace patterns have travelled far! Anna Binniewrote: I'm writing to publicly than Gon and her team of lace teachers and designers who over the last 2 years have produced an edging pattern, pricking and instructions every week! Gon, I want to add my thanks. My printer died very early in your undertaking and by the time I finally got a new one set up I had lost track of the project. Anna's letter reminded me to check it out. What a marvelous collection you have put together! So many types of bobbin lace, simple beginning patterns and more advanced. This is a chance to explore all those laces, with clear photos and thread diagrams. You and your team have put the world of bobbin lace into our hands and I can't wait to go exploring! Thank you, all of you, for such a huge and thoughtful gift to us lacemakers! Most sincerely, Robin Robin P. Re: [lace] Gon Homburg
I agree! Thank you, Gon. Hopefully, I will get all of them done, but at this point, I have a very, very long way to go. I hope the page with the edgings stays up so I can work them as I can. Liz in Missouri, USA PS I hope this was trimmed enough for list folks. I tried! * ... Gon and her team of lace teachers and desigers... an edging pattern, pricking and instructions every week! . cover every type of continuous lace from beginner to advanced. Today she published her 100th and final pattern. I have looked forward to visiting her page every week for my little treat. I've decided to make all 100 but where to start? If you are interested the page is http://www.kloskant.com/uk/index-uk.html I am so grateful that there is such a generosity of spirit within the lace community that individuals are prepared to pay for a web page and make the time to produce patterns and working diagrams whose main purpose is to educate lacemakers where ever they live.
