Jean
I really like your Bedfordshire fan. It looks good in the dark red color.

[lace] Jean's Lace

2005-07-13 Thread pamm
Hi All

Just to say that I've just received the CD from PBLC with the photo's of Jean
Nathan's winning entry. I'll be updating the PBLC website with the latest news
in a couple of days so I'll let you all know when the photo's are up.

Congratulations Jean

Love the Rosalibra lace, Jean.
However, the German lace is identical to a piece shown with pricking and
instructions in The Techniques of Bobbin Lace, by Pam Nottingham. Those
with the original copy of the book - it is on page 85. The new version of
the book has extra patterns in it , so I don't know if it is still in that
edition.
Still, It is a pretty piece of lace - wherever it comes from.
The one in the IOLI Bulletin looks familiar, too. I think it is like a
Winslow pattern, but not sure.

BTW - My UK Lace arrived today - so some good bedtime reading this
evening!! :))
