Naturally, you are entitled to do your thing but i cannot help but be concerned that you are making this decision in haste and/or response to the result of your email. you have every right to your opinion.
i sincerely and deeply request that you do not depart the group as you will be leaving a big hole and also weakening the group which is not your style. you are cherished (greatly by me) by the entire membership and your contributions have blessed each and every one of us at one time or another. 100 years from now no one will ever know this occurred but hopefully as we continue to age we will be able to be left with memories to be fond of and perhaps give us smiles when we have no teeth and hardly know who we are. you are one of those who will be remembered for a long time within this group. please reconsider. it isn't right for you to punish yourself which is what is happening because you are denying yourself something that has been a major focus in your life for a long time. get something chocolate and another comfort food and watch the sun set and change your mind, please. life it too short to be unhappy and regretful. you will miss us too.
