RE: [lace] Milanese Books (Read Kincaid)
I googled Anova books, but just get an error page. Does anyone have a website address? Agnes Boddington - Elloughton UK Lucky enough to have all three books that were mentioned, and to look out and see the blue sky and sunshine. For anyone interested in Milanese lace, I have some insider information. I have, in my hand, a letter from Anova Books, the company that owns the Batsford imprint. They are about to add the Read Kincaid books to their Print on Demand service and also make them available as ebooks. The planned schedule is Milanese Lace: An Introduction - July New Braids and Designs in Milanese Lace - August 50 New Milanese Patterns - December - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Hi fellow Arachnids, That is good news about the O.O.P. books. I am lucky enough to have all three books mentioned (2 signed by one author), but will be looking forward to the fourth when it is published. Now for all the other O.O.P. craft books? E-books are all very well for reading books, but do not work that well for craft books. I have tried it. Good news, Janet. Print on Demand would be wonderful for all those great Batsford books for which Amazon etc ask such ridiculous prices. Re: [lace] Milanese Books (Read Kincaid)
I sold some of my lace books a few years ago but I kept all three of my Milanese Lace books by Read and Kincaid. I was lucky enough to take Milanese Class with Pat Read a few years ago at Ithaca, New York. Pat Read was a wonderful teacher and I fully enjoyed her class. Milanese is one of my favorite laces to make. Also loved the pictures that are in all of the books. Great for inspiration.
