Janine Montupet The Lacemaker from 1988 is a fictional story of a needle lace maker in the 17th century. I remember enjoying reading this book years ago, thinking that since the author also has written book(s) on lace identification, I remember thinking that it probably was fairly accurate. At least a fascinating read.
