Janice, I've seen this salt crystal lace several years running - but I'm going to a lace day in Vauvert, where they did it, at the end of October, I'll ask for more info! i think it was probably only tried once, as an experiment, but will let you know all the details I manage to glean... Hi Susan, The lace is made normally then immersed in sea water at the local salt works. It was Marie-Thérèse Bonniol who first thought up the technique - Denise, of the site you mention, learnt it from her - and you can see the various stages here: http://artetdentelle.free.fr and go to Dentelles cristallisées dans le sel.
