Re: [lace] Anniversary ideas for a small guild?

2017-04-11 Thread Jeriames
Dear Martha,

On March 23rd, and again today, I sent you long private messages to help
you with lace public relations and celebrations. Your address is Comcast,
and I am not sure you are receiving mail from AOL. If you are not, please
request someone you know to be a go-between, and I'll resend my letters
through her.

We’re .. a small guild, and some .. members are not able to be as active
as they’d like. We’d still like to do something to acknowledge our
(non-zero) anniversary as a charter member of IOLI. Can .. you share little
things we could do that would be warm, welcoming, cheerful and celebratory?
Do
.. you have special traditions you have developed for this annual
celebration? How do you mark this day as special?

[lace] Anniversary ideas for a small guild?

2017-04-11 Thread Janice Blair
I belong to Silvergate Lacers in the San Diego area and last October we
celebrated our 40th anniversary.  We had commemorative bobbins, a cake and a
pot luck lunch.  I was unfortunately absent but the photos look like I missed
a good time.  We also had a member who had tee shirts machine embroidered
with our logo.  She donated the shirts and we paid only $5 for the
embroidery. Great deal.Janice Janice Blair Murrieta, CA, jblace.com

Re: [lace] Aurifil 80

2017-04-11 Thread Marianne Gallant
Yes it does come in colours, though not yet the full line. You can find
out which colours are available here:
http://www.aurifil.com/products/cotton-80. You have to scroll down and
you'll see a link to their pdf file which shows which colours are
available in the 80wt. There are 88 colours available, but it is so new
that not a lot of stores carry it yet, even my supplier has only brought
in a few colours yet.
