[lace-chat] swedish help needed

2004-09-21 Thread Janice Blair
Hi,
I have just finished a tape lace design based on the Swedish red wooden darla sp
horse. Whilst I was working on the design I found some photos of horses for sale but
no information and searching today under different spellings, etc., brought no
success. Can anyone tell me story behind the horse. Is it lucky or is it a seasonal
thing such as Christmas? I was hoping when I frame them that I could put some
appropriate Swedish words or phrases around the picture. Does anyone have any answers
for me? Thanks.
Janice

[lace-chat] FW: Wool Sack?

2004-09-21 Thread Jean Peach
I am wondering if anyone knows the answer to the following, my DH
has been trying to find out where is the Wool Sack? In the House
of Commons or the House of Lords, who sits on it? We have looked
up every reference book we have and can't find any references to
the Wool Sack.

We learnt about this when we were both at school, too many years ago,
now we can't remember.
