Re: [Launchpad-users] Deleted package does not disappear from PPA...
Hey G, Hi again Thanks for the info, I did not realized that it is not possible to upload twice the same revision, even after deleting the packages from the PPA. Very weird behavior... it is called security, what happens if somebody installs something from your ppa and you start providing the same version with a different signature and checksums? I can not append anything to the revision, otherwise, it doesn't work, a problem related to the ABI version appear and the packaging process do not finishes. I'll delete the entire PPA, and create a new one, using the same name, to try again... Don't know if you can create a ppa with the same name... there is a reactivate query string, but I don't know how it handles deleted packages... a look at the code might answer this :) cheers, Gianfranco Cheers! You should look at how the kernel ABI checker operates, so you can patch the package properly. One quick workaround is to change the version of the latest changelog entry, rather than creating a new one. The ABI check will see the same previous version and not fail. signature.asc Description: OpenPGP digital signature ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-users Post to : launchpad-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~launchpad-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Launchpad-users] Deleted package does not disappear from PPA...
Guys, Yesterday, I deleted a package from my PPA, this one: https://launchpad.net/~martinx/+archive/ubuntu/linux But the file wasn't deleted!!! I tried to upload it again, but Launchpad rejects it. What can I do? I can not bump +1 on its version release, because it is a Linux Kernel source package from Vivid and I don't know how to bump ABI alongside with package release version. Can someone help me? I already asked this question here: http://askubuntu.com/questions/500095/how-to-buildmyownkernel-bumping-1-for-revision-number-version Launchpad does not delete a package, even after a day of waiting...
