Hallo! I'm ubuntu user who is maintaning 14 PCs with Lazarus in local academy (14 PC with ubuntu). And every time i install lazarus i have to recompile it with GTK2 interface. [lazarus] Russian letters from MySQL in Lazarus
I've beel talking to Jesusrmx on the irc channel about this problem. But it was solved by Teacher who leaded development project (on lizarus of cose) in Nizhny novgorod Technical College. The problem of ureadable russian fields from MySQL database in Lazarus was with MySQL itself. Changes from phpmyadmin dosn't give any effect. To change default charset of MySQL on utf-8 should be changed the next lanes: In My.cnf : You should add the next lins into section [mysqld] : default-character-set=utf8 character-set-server=utf8 collation-server=utf8_general_ci init-connect="SET NAMES utf8" skip-character-set-client-handshake Into [mysqldump] section you need only add default-character-set=utf8 It solves the problem and now you can make fiels in MySQLQueryBrowser and read them from Lazarus. -- With best regards.
