Re: [Lcms-user] Pre and post linearisation curves artifacts?
Hi Kai-Uwe, Cool. That's a good finding. I will try to catch the bug with this info. Thanks for reporting Marti -Original Message- From: Kai-Uwe Behrmann [mailto:k...@gmx.de] Sent: miƩrcoles, 01 de agosto de 2012 13:28 To: Lcms Liste Subject: Re: [Lcms-user] Pre and post linearisation curves artifacts? In trying to reproduce the noicy behaviour with tificc, the output was fine. And after setting OMP_NUM_THREADS=1 the output became fine in the Oyranos example image viewer too while using pre and post CLUT curves. So the noicy behaviour, while using cmsFLAGS_CLUT_POST_LINEARIZATION and cmsFLAGS_CLUT_PRE_LINEARIZATION, appears to be triggered by threading. kind regards Kai-Uwe Am 01.08.12, 11:55 +0200 schrieb Kai-Uwe Behrmann: > Find below a screenshot illustrating the issue: > http://www.oyranos.org/temp/lcms_post+pre_curves1.png > > Am 31.07.12, 14:40 +0200 schrieb Kai-Uwe Behrmann: >> While moving the image around inside the Oyranos example image viewer, I >> observed darker pixels obtaining some random noice. [Lcms-user] Pre and post linearisation curves artifacts?
After the recent discussion about linear to gamma conversions, I added support inside the Oyranos lcms2 module. That option brings a good improvement. Already normal sized CLUT's give visibly improved results. While moving the image around inside the Oyranos example image viewer, I observed darker pixels obtaining some random noice. Did someone else see this? It goes completely away if the curves option is switched off. The noice does not stick to specual values, but changes with each new colour transform. kind regards Kai-Uwe -- www.behrmann.name -- Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
