Lynn,
I consider LRP 2.9.8 an old release. It is almost a year and a half old
(2000-09-12). There was a kernel update (2.2.19?) produced after the split,
that I didn't feel comfortable including in our files area. I plan to move
the LRP 2.9.8 files into "Unsupported or Old Releases" as soon as SF fixes
my open support request.

Sorry, I meant more in approaching LRP sites documents, support,
and the like a better example would be in these FAQ documents
currently on the LEAF site:

http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=1409&group_id=13751
http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=1407&group_id=13751

Although the archive through linux-router are still quite useful, I
think the LEAF documentation with c0ws/thc pretty much covers
anything we consider current on the LRP server.

Thx Mike!

If linux isn't the answer, you've probably got the wrong question!

How is this?

LRP 2.9.8
The latest release from Dave Cinege for the "Linux Router Project". Many
people are still using this and earlier versions of LRP. It is getting a
little long in the tooth. Last updated on ??/??/?? and included here for
historical significance.

[Leaf-devel] LRP 2.9.8

2002-02-26 Thread guitarlynn

Alright everyone,

I'm coming to the point in the FAQ's that haven't been
updated since around the inception of the LEAF site.
My concern is with updating considering LRP 2.9.8
is LRP now officially an old release, retired, or active
as far as this site (LEAF) is concerned?

I realize many of us still use 2.9.8 and are more than
willing to support it, but put bluntly, Eigerstein is now
considered a old release as are other releases that are
more recent than 2.9.8 .

I just don't want it to be considered as recent or up-to-date
simply because it isn't compared to any current releases
that LEAF is supporting.

Thanks for the thoughts,
