Re: [leaf-user] Netflow type output from leaf-bering machine

Ad,

I don't think Linux supports netflow. But take a look at the pmacctd.lrp
package, maybe it does what you need.

 Hi all,

I've done some search and have found a bunch of information about
collecting netflows from cisco etc etc. What I'm after is there any
application that would have my leaf bering machine OUTPUT netflow
information. So I can collect the flows from my leaf router in another
application. As I have replaced my old beat up cisco with a nice new
 bering-uclibc machine :)

 Cheers
 Ad

You can have a look at the following project:

http://fprobe.sourceforge.net/

I tried to compile it for bering-uclibc some time ago and it succeeded,
but I didn't tried it, nor package it.

There is another project of a NetFlow probe named nProbe (see
http://www.ntop.org/nProbe.html). It is under the GPL but they charge to
download it ... :(

That's nice, I didn't know that project. I will take a look if I can
compile it (the ulog version).

Hmm I did find this, but can't seem to find any more information on it.
Has anyone else seen/used it.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/ng-netflow/
But I'm not sure what it means by netgraph, or even if it is what I want as
it has been discontinued.

Kevin,
Please consider using a newer LEAF branch like Bering-uClibc. Dachstein
while an excellent branch for its time, is rather dated now.
