Tom,
It wouldn't surprise me in the least. That CMS code is old. :-(
Note: The CMS doesn't search unincorporated content (e.g. guide
collection).

To test the new code:
* http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/
Search Site: xyz
* http://www.google.com/
Google string: site:phpwebsite.appstate.edu xyz

The results should be similar. If not, the phpWebSite search code still
needs work.

20 minutes of searching on the LEAF site didn't find any information on
upgrading; lot's of information about how to install and configure initially.

Tom,
Point taken. I'm still working on the new leaf website.

Google string:
site:leaf-project.org shorewall upgrade

 Tom,

 Google string:

Mike, Is the search function on the LEAF site broken?

a) When using Konqueror as my browser, I can't even enter a search string in
the search form.

b) Using another browser, shorewall upgrade yields no hits.

c) upgrade gets a few hits but mostly announcements of new distro versions.

Prior to the release of 2.0, I posted several times on the Shorewall
Announcements list and the Shorewall Users list with a set of actions that
users could take before migrating to make the 1.4-2.0 transition as painless
as possible. I suggest that you search the archives.

PS -- Shorewall 2.0.10 was released this morning.

Thanks Tom!
Believe it or not, I had searched each month from October through march
moving backward through this year's shorewall user list archives.. Just
about to do Feb when your mail came through..
:-))

Seriously, I was reading through some traffic and came across a
distinction between upgrade and reinstall. Should I reinstall
considering the config file format issues? (Then there is the term
migrate ... hmmm.)

Rick.

Means either upgrade or reinstall. I always recommend upgrading if you want
to maintain the current behavior of your firewall.
