RE: [leaf-user] Last package won't load (Bering v 1.2 on CD)

2003-08-14 Thread Robert Coffman - Info From Data Corporation
Do you have a period (.) at the end of your lrp line?

Perhaps as a temporary workaround until we figure this out, insert a bogus
package at the end (ie. bogus.lrp!)

Make sure you type ENTER at the end, so that lrpkg.cfg has 2 lines.

nf! means not found :-(

Most probably the package is not on the medium.

Erich,
Thank you for your reply. I have confirmed all packages that are listed
in my lrpkg.cfg are on the CD. Let me state again the LAST package listed
won't load properly. (makes no difference which one) That is the part
that confuses me. If I switch the order for loading package X it is
always the last one that doesn't work right. Any other ideas?
This is weird, have you been able to check if there is by chance an
invisible control character at the end of your lrpkg.cfg file.

I used the internal vi-clone, not a DOS/Win editor.

2003-08-14 Thread M Lu
Do you have your lrpkg.cfg on the CD or on floppy? If on floppy probably you
need to add /dev/fd0:msdos after PKGPATH=/dev/cdrom:iso9660 in your
isolinux.cfg.

Did you also try to remove the last package (e.g. sshd) from your lrpkg.cfg
and see if all remaining load?

 My isolinux.cfg is as follows:
 display syslinux.dpy
 timeout 0
 default linux initrd=initrd.lrp init=/linuxrc rw root=/dev/ram0
 boot=/dev/cdrom:iso9660 PKGPATH=/dev/cdrom:iso9660

My lrpkg.cfg file is as follows:
 root,etc,local,modules,iptables,shorwall,ulogd,dnscache,weblet,dhcpd,libm
 ,ntpsimpl,libz,ntpdate,sshd

And make sure your lrpkg.cfg is using linux (not MS-DOS)
end-of-lines...the CR part of the MS-DOS CRLF sequence will get
added to your LRP filename and confuse the package loading scripts.
