1. Windows 10, mostly using the cygwin build from AlexanderAA but I also
built a version myself using Ubuntu running via WSL and use that to run via
the command line (rather than from emacs ledger mode).
2. Yes, I'm using emacs. It took me a little while to figure out how to
make reporting work in ledger mode due to file path issues.
3. I don't understand the question.

Windows 10. I build Ledger in Cygwin 64 and run in cmd as exe. Sometimes I
use Emacs, it is perfectly usable, but more often other editors. GPG
support is good.
But currently I'm moving to Beancount + Fava, because Ledger has no
interface.

I meant to compile ledger. I was referring to AlexanderAA's download page
on GitHub (https://github.com/AlexanderAA/ledger_binaries_windows):

"It is really time consuming to compile ledger under windows (you need to

I never told I needed cygwin to use Ledger. James just asked for "whats
their set-up". Not why! But the reason is: I already use cygwin as a POSIX
environment. I run bash, git, mercurial, perl, python, ssh, emacs, gpg, and
many others fully inside cygwin. It was easy to decide to put Ledger and
Beancount inside the family.

Cheers.

1. Win10 and Win7 (both cygwin64)
2. Yes (cygwin emacs-w32)
3. ???. As good as the question?

How many Windows Users here?

2018-07-05 Thread James

Hi,

This is question that comes out of curiosity. How many Windows users are
there that are using Ledger on their machine and whats their set-up?

- 1 . Which version Windows?
- 2. Using Emacs as their editor?
- 3. GPG support good?
