Sometimes the world is a good place. I was lucky enough to be ringside for Josh's demolition of Frampton last night in Scumchester, I didn't think the Selby fight could be matched but that was pure, world level, class. Then today I watched my beloved Leeds (sadly today only TV) come back from 2-0 down to beat one of the divisions tipped sides to win 3-2. Agreed Dave. What a great win and a performance full of character considering a patched up team and without doubt I thought we were by far the better team and I don't fear them in terms of promotion. Even with 2 minutes left we won the ball and Shackleton is burning forward. That is the mentality of a side who want to win every game. Cross comes over and falls to Roofe and on his wrong foot he buries it in the bottom right hand corner. He'd nothing all game but that made up for everything. The fitness levels are incredible from us. Villa were fucked and even though they fought back into it a 2-2 we just kept firing forward. I criticised the team selection but you just can't because Bielsa knows what he is doing and Clarke coming on at half-time is probably the best decision. We should have had more especially with a couple of certain pens. My scores: Peacock - 7. Couple of good saves and a couple of nervy moments. I think he might have got that first goal. Ayling - 6. Grew into the game but looked rusty. Davis - 5. Young lad thrust into the game at the last minute. He did one or two good things including a great cross first half. However, I think he looked out of his depth at times. Jansson - 9 .man of the match. Brilliant defending and great goal. Philips - 6 I thought he was shaky in the first half and he doesn't do the things centre halves do instinctively. He was better second half. Forshaw - 7 his passing was poor first half, but he battled throughout and never gave up. Klich - 7 Was busy , should have scored first half and one or two other chances. Hernandez - 7 Poor passing first half but second half he came into it and was much better. Allioski - 8. That was his best performance of the season. Lively, good corners, good running and all offside 4 times rather than 20. Roofe - 7. Worked hard but ineffective but one chance one goal. Harrison - 0. Didn't contribute and his poor play led to the first goal. Subs: Clarke - 9. What a goal. Shackleton - he's a lively player.
