I seem to remember that the pre-season games were extremely underwhelming when Bielsa first arrived...a huge contrast to the way they played in the first game v Stoke. Agreed. An entertaining game tho for a (non) friendly. Both sides seemed to bypass the (non existing) midfield and it was end to end stuff - plus a bad mistake by Meisler (sp?) - let's hope he's got that out the way now rather than in a fortnight! The final 20 minutes left me with a lot of questions. Our possession was all over the shop and we kept letting Real Betty get in through the back door.For a football junkie like me though this was well worth the 14.99 I have shelled out for the pre season friendly ticket though. Ajax next then Villareal.Notable things: Firpo linked up well with Jack and Raphina, Shackleton showed some flair and determination. We missed Kalvin.Llorente was not on top form, which is a shame because I saw him as an emerging and entertaining player towards the end of last season.
