2016-02-29 Thread nat...@sky.com
Hull got a third just before half time, a  simple ball over the top and their
forward out-muscled the defender, controlled the ball well and smacked it home.
Decent goal from their point of view but more very average defending from ours.
Not as ridiculous as the other two goals - the term 'school boy' error could
have been invented to describe those two

[LU] 1/3/2014

2014-03-01 Thread Paula Gillen
Update – 1/3/2014 – Called during the night (last night). He was restless
and jittery. Apparently doctors came to examine him during the night. I
got there at noon today and he was dis-oriented and seemed a bit rattled.
He know who I was and immediately asked for some milk. His fever was quite
high still and the antibiotic didn’t seem to be doing much but the doctors
were loathe to stoop it. He is one oxygen by mask instead of the little
prongs that go up your nose and his feeding tube has some how become
dislodged – probably from his trashing around and they were working on
getting it replaced. While I was waiting for a doctor (never know which one
is going t show up) they decided to bathe him, change his hospital gown and
bed sheets and also the necessary but horrible tube, much like a catheter,
but for the bum….you do not want anymore information than that.. They also
took more blood and samples of everything else again. His legs were
un-bandaged again. The are having a plastic surgeon come up tomorrow to
take a look at his legs. When I finally saw the doctor, she told me that
they do not know what is got a hold of him this time. Blood tests and all
the rest are not conclusive. The stuff they are giving to him to reduce the
salt in his system is causing his blood sugar to go out of control. I asked
about giving him insulin and she said that it was a consideration as they
had giving it to him in ICU through a graduated drip in an IV line but he is
running out of good veins and they might have to do it another way by
injecting him in the stomach, which would not be a pleasant thing. . I
looked at her and asked if she was aware that he was, prior to losing his
weight, a diabetic for 10 years. She looked shock at bit. I told her that
the injection would not be a problem as he did it twice a day for those 10
years and if this would stabilise his blood sugar then it best be done.
They gave him an injection within the hour and by tea time, his blood sugar
had gone done from 19 to 16. Too many doctors not sharing enough
information. By the time I got done with the doctor, Steve was a bit
calmer, probably due to being messed about for an hour and he was very
tired. He seemed a bit cooler and drank milk, tea and water between naps.
By the time his daughter and son-in-law came up, he wasn’t too bad. He even
managed a bit of mushroom soup. After they left the temperature started to
rise again and he was thrashing all over and babbling. I asked before I
left to get him situated in the bed better and make sure he got his pain
meds and stuff for his fever as I wanted to make sure he didn’t wait half
the night for them to get around to it like it happens on a night. I came
home and cooked up some lamb, onions with herbs and vegetable stock and then
puréed it….some for tomorrow and the rest for over the next 4-5 days (also
have beef to do) and will do pureed carrot and asparagus and some thin
mashed potatoes that I know he will eat. The hospital tried to get hinm to
eat a brown hocky puck that passed as an omelette this morning and tea was
not much better. The guys need James Martin or Jamie Oliver in a big way.
If I can get better food in him with organic milk, juices and also water,
maybe things will start to turn around. Going to talk to them as to what
vitamin supplements they are currently giving him. We will also get some
carbs in him in small doses as he get a little stronger. Right now, he
needs all the protein he can get and that means good old fashioned meat! We
are going to beat this together! Didn’t get but a couple hours of sleep
last night so heading off to bed now after I call the hospital how he is
doing. Good night all!

Norwich scored 6 , unfortunately Becchio didn't score.

At least he might get another 10 minutes in the next round, possibly against us.

Talking of which Becchio is on a sub for Norwich after 80 minutes.

If you're not starting against Bury at home then surely your days are numbered.
At least he has 10 minutes to get a goal and kick start his Norwich career.
