Although there's no doubt that last season was much better in many ways than many years before it, there were still a number of infuriating things about it; and one of those things was our performances after international breaks.
As ever, the break would drag on and on, but all the time I would be thinking "OK, so we've got this shit-hot coach now in Garry Monk..........everything was a bit rushed in pre-season, but now he's got 2 whole weeks to work his magic on these lads..........we've only actually got 3 or 4 players away............he's always banging on about the group and the project and it taking time.........well now he's got time." Result? 4 international breaks..........4 post i-b games..........points zero...........goals scored zero. And this season?
