Listened to the game on BBC Radio 5 Live and they were *very* complimentary about Howson. Said he really looked the part against a midfield of Parker and Nolan which would probably fetch £15M+ were they to move and is widely regarded as the best midfield in the division. They said several times that he and Clayton really did a job on them and won the battle. No. I thought he was their best player especially second half when he really singe handedly drove them forward. He was still the 4th best midfielder on show today behind Clayton, Snoddy and Max. I thing Macca got it spot on when he said that we have to belief that we can play football and score goals playing pass and move football. Both our goals involved lots of passes and good movement , it was brilliant to see and I was jumping around my front room when Clayton smashed the winner home. What an instant hero that lad is? Howson - 7, Was a bit disappointed first half but he improved second half. He was part of a midfield four that on paper looks lightweight but completely overrun and outplayed West Ham. I've never believed you need the holding player in midfield. If you have got 4 players who have pace, quick feet, high energy and can get stuck in you're sorted. You don't need Michael Brown, Bradley Johnson, Andy Faye etc. Clayton - 10. Absolutely superb. He is a instant hero. I don't think a player has made a bigger impact in 5 Leeds appearances for a very long time. Maybe Cantona Was the last one. Snodgrass - 8. Thought he looked quick and strong. He's a premiership player. Gradel - 9. Thought he was on fire. My suggestion to leave him on the bench would have been a bad one. If only he'd have put the pen away. Keogh - 9. I love this lad. Good movement, good skill good link up play. He moves across the line really well.
