RE: Rotary table Revo cum 900

2019-11-24 Thread bulkeley
The revos rotary table is narrower than the one on the 900 so it wont fit, you
will need to widen the revo rotary table to get it to fit the 900 I would bolt
2 strips of metal plate each side of the rotary table to make it the right
width to fit the 900, bolting not welding means the table can be used on both
mills.

I have just measured the gap between the upper and lower rails. It does not
seem very much where the table would sit . It maybe o.k. for a thin table
top.!!! How much is it with a normal table that comes with a 900 ??

RE: Z carriage & plunge Router

2019-11-24 Thread bulkeley
Z onto the revo that will be interesting the cross slide rails are closer
together than on the 900 so you will have to rebuild it. I don’t have any z
axis on my revo yet! 😊, but I do have a triton router it works ok no flexing of
the rails.

The fix base routers and the plunge routers I have a ridged fix base router and
several triton routers and there doesn’t seem to be much difference in weight
but I do use the medium size triton router on the revo only because the base of
the big triton won’t fit the revo please keep me informed on how you go..

With-out a true measurement, I can not be sure, I would think most standard

Just be aware that this model does not tilt/taper. Would be great for parts.

Re: Rotary table Revo cum 900

2019-11-24 Thread 'Curt George' via Legacy Ornamental Mills
 Hello Richard
I have always wondered, since the table support brackets can not be lowered far
enough, Is that a way to make a new set of support brackets to make the REVO's
table go lower? Perhaps a secondary free standing table? One that could be
attached to the machine, but using its own stand or the support table for its
base.  That way in Theory you could go down as far as you need. (Perhaps Yards
instead of inches>?<. )  Something like this mounted to your bench?C.A.G.
