 Hello Denson.
With technology growing as fast as it is, things like your suggestion are all
to promising to those who want, but can not find what they seek.I my self have
been tempted to do things like you suggested.
As far as I'm concerned, No blood no fowl.  We just need to try to keep the
peace. and learn as we go. ;-)
Asking Legacy's permission, and or buying it from them is the best idea, (for
now.)
Have a good night.

Router bit templates

2020-05-25 Thread 'Denson Ingram' via Legacy Ornamental Mills
I recenty bought a LOM 1200 and with it got almost a complete design kit. 3
router templates, long graph paper and round graph paper.
I have a friend that wants a copy of the router templates. So I contacted
another friend who has a laser engraver/cnc that said he can replicate
them. He would charge $30 each for the first and then the price would drop
after that. The first so hight because of having to design them into the
computer. I think he would cut them out of 1/8" plexi or something
similiar. Are there any in the group that would like to have a set of three
router bit templates for design use?
Also has anyone adapted a metal mill DRO for use with the LOM? I feel sure
the Wixey digital depth gauge for a router table would work for the router
depth. I feel that he Wixey digital gauge for a table saw (up to 60" in
length) could be used for the x axis (length) on a 1200 and perhaps a
smaller one for the y axis. Any thoughts?
Thanks
Denson

I think it is a very good price - I have a laser and have a pretty good
idea on cost - if you need or want them - buy them since they match the
Magnate Bits precisely - good resource to know - thanks

Does anyone know where Legacy got the height gauge for the carrier upgrade? I
have somehow lost one of the little buttons on mine (I have had them fall out
several times but most of the time I find them right away)

Re: Height gauge

2020-05-25 Thread 'Denson Ingram' via Legacy Ornamental Mills
Hey fellers,
I got a set of the design router templates when I bought my used LOM 1200.
I have a friend who wants a set of templates so I contacted a guy I know who
has a laser engraver/cnc who says he can duplicate them for $30 ea. For the 3,
$90.
Is that a good price or is there a cheaper way?

Do you have a photo of the actual height gauge less the missing part, it
