Looks beautiful.  I like how the turning is so nicely proportioned to the 
rest of the piece.  I'm in Oregon as well (Portland).  I have an 800, but 
haven't done much but a little playing around in the year or so I've had 
it.  Too many irons in the fire right now.

It is Cherry. I am a fan of General Finish. This is their satin with their 
mahogany stain. As a hobiest it would be tough to put an hour figure to it. 
Too many adjustments and mistakes. I need to learn Sketchup, but not sure 
if I could model this.
