Good morning Bill 

I wasnt suggesting to throw away your legacy and to buy the pen wizard. 

I just wanted people out there to start looking at some of the possibilitys 
that are out there. 

I know for my self, I like to look at things, and then in my mind try to figure 
out how it was made. 

My hope by posting those clips was, to get people to start thinking, and 
dreaming of just some of the 

possibilitys that are out there.

on my legacy machines I use a triton router it has a knob for fine adjusting 
of depth using that and a dial indicator is how I do accurate fine depth 
adjustment. 
Tims wave attachment will do the wave pattern OK just like the pen wizard, 
and it is adjustable for wider and narrower waves and your pitch or length 
of the wave can be adjusted by different pitch gears on the legacy. the 
indexing plate can do most indexing, if you need more the crank index method 
will do just about any number of indexes. 
and of corse side cutting with a long bit is nothing new to the legacy 
so I guess what I'm saying is the pen wizard is a good little machine but I 
think out legacies are much more versatile

JR Beall deserves a lot of credit for helping me do the kind of
woodwork I love. I have most of his threading jigs. I love the guy's
spirit. On one of his youtube videos, he comes right out and asks you
to buy his stuff and make him rich..haha, gotta love that!

He also made a one time production run of the lathe wizard, which was
a larger version of the pen wizard. It's been several years though,
but I wonder if some photos of it might still exist out there
somewhere.

cutting wavey patterns, a quick release indexing system, and so much
more... Like a simple pattern copy attachment.
I could keep going. but... ;-)
What I am suggesting to everyone here is, Lets see if anyone can make
attachments or have any ideas that we could use to make our machines
even better.

If you cant think of any ways to inprove the Legacy, then perhaps you
could point out some of the things that you are haveing problems with
on your machines?
Im not trying to get you all to start griping, or conplaining. Its
just I find that If I cant focus on the problem at hand, then how are
we suppost to fix it/make it better.
