Hello Mac.Thank you.  I should have posted this earlier myself.
One other note along these lines, Our archives, It makes things much easer to
find things,if the topic are all in there proper areas. Once the topic has died
down, trying to findsomething that someone  posted earlier is very hard to find
in the archives if the topic bouncearound.  An Example. Mikes walking sticks.
I think this is an AWESOME topic, One that everyoneshould read and talk about.
but in a year form now How can you find it, if it was posted under another
topic all together? So people Please try to either stay on topic when posting
or, post your own topic as a new heading, It will make life much easer in the
Long run for everyone.;-)Have a good night.

Greetings all,

Since we have had a number of  "newbies" (and lurkers) join in topical
discussions here over the past several months, I think it worthwhile to remind
everyone PLEASE keep any postings relative to the SUBJECT line topic.

We realize we all have things we want to ask about, contribute to The Group,
etc. - but PLEASE make them relaitve to the SUBJECT at hand.

If some of the discussions set your creative juices flowing and you want to
bring up an off-topic thought - feel free to do so when ever you want.  Just
PLEASE start it by giving it a "SUBJECT" line that will best represent the meat
of your input.

Our reason for asking this is that it will make it MUCH EASIER for a Group
member to search back through The Group's archives to find previous discussions
related to your topic.

Hopefully one of our Group members (Tim K., Mike P., or Curtis?) will chime in
and further discuss our Archives, how to search through them, etc. - and the
importance of the above request.

They will (hopefully) provide us with a hyperlink to the archives - making it
easy for all of us to access them and conduct searches.

One other admin request:  When replying to a subject - please cut off all the
"unnecessary stuff" relative to your reply/input - usually found towards the
end of the email.  A good example being:  "You received this message because
you are subscribed to the Google Groups ...".

Thank you to all for your understanding and cooperation/assistance with this
request.

2023-04-10 Thread John Hennen
No that is not a 4x8. List price on that is 19k right now, at the time of
purchase it was 17k

The machine in the picture has a 3hp liquid cooled spindle on it. Only the
3x5 uses that spindle. The 4x8 uses a 6hp air cooled spindle. The 50k
version is also an auto tool change system. You would see 7 tool holders
across the back of the machine as well if it was the 50k model.

For the past 23 years I have worked there so I have a pretty intimate
knowledge of these systems.

 Thanks for sharing.

Please don't laugh at me, but I would love to get my hands on one
of those machines, Not for the CNC, but to re-work this machine back
 into a manual machine.
The quality/ Linear bearings and robust steel frame, would put to shame
 any earlier Legacy manual machines.
That would be a project that I would love to do. ;-)

Re: Legacy Maverick 3x5 CNC $13,000

2023-04-09 Thread M.W.Foscue
John,

Thank you.
I knew you would know.
Are the "extras" that are mentioned in the FB post (vacuum table pump and
mobile wheel kit) add-on's for the current Mavrick - or are they included in
basic price?

Happy Easter to you and yours.
