They will work with a REVO, only the shipping cost may screw the deal! But US Mail International 5-6 day service is the lowest cost way to get product here. Re: base for candle stick
Tim is correct, But If I understand your question correctly, you need to cut from the side of the turning. not the top. Dose the Revo have a template follower? if It dose you can make the shape of your base out of 1/4 material and use the template follower to make the shape, and then you can also use that shape to reed your base. At least that is the safest way that I know. The reeding bit has a bearing that maintains the proper depth, (true) but on small turnings, the bearing is bound to fall into one of your groves and make a bad mark or not proper depth. By using the template you will not run into this problem. When cutting from the side, make a lot of light cuts when roughing the material out ( I use a 1/2 long end mill cutter bit, my bit is 6 long, it is ideal for cutting from the side, Think of it more like milling than lathe turings.). When reeding, make sure your bit is dead center of your turning.( I always line up the live center tail stock with the reeding bits point.) Everything else is a piece of cake. O One more thing, set your Y axis stops, just in case you forget, so that the cutter can not run into the side rails. (mor for larger turning.) Good luck and send us some picture when done.
