Re: [LegacyUG] Leagacy FS Access violation

2017-07-18 Thread Cathy Pinner

Joseph,
I'm not LDS so I don't know whether there are more problems with that
part of the Legacy FS program but it's working fine for me.

See: http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00530
Access violation errors have a number of different causes.

It can't be a general problem or there'd be posts in the Facebook group.
There's only one and he found he had a heap of Check/Repair errors in
his file.

The API from LegacyFS to FamilySearch must be broken again. The error
message says:
Access violation at address 0075E311 in module 'LegacyFS.exe'. Read of
address 000C.

Any word yet? or am I the first one to notice? The LFS program will
not work at all now. I'm able to see that the problem is not at this end.

Wayne

I'm not sure what you are calling the "Master Report list" I think you
mean the Master List?

Currently you can't print the Hashtag names list. This omission is
entered in the official list of bugs.

Poor Workaround - screenshot the list and print the screenshot.

Dear Wayne,
I think I have this correct.
After you get your listing, you will see the word "Options" to the left of
"Search." Click on Options, scroll down until you see print, click on
print, then preview, then print.

Re: [LegacyUG] Query help

2017-07-18 Thread Donald Quigley
Scott,

I don’t believe that you can include an address in a search string. But you
can find and tag all individuals with no Burial Place and then scroll through
the Search Results list looking for the blue button adjacent to the “Buried
in” field on the Edit page. If its shaded out, there is no address for the
Buried Place. Tag such persons and you will have created the list you want –
with one caveat: If the blue button is highlited, there is likely to be a
burial address – but it could be just an indication of a Burial
Note/Picture/Cremated (not likely, but possible). Klunky, but it might work
for you.

The only sure way I can think of is to go into MS Access and write a suitable
query. Easy to say, but not if you don’t know Access.

I want to build a search query to identify all users with data in the burial
place field but no attached burial address. Can anyone assist? I cannot
figure out how to get attached addresses into the search string.

Thanks,

Scott

[LegacyUG] Print Hashtag report

2017-07-18 Thread wabby62--- via LegacyUserGroup
The original message to the list is in the attachment.

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.--- Begin Message ---
