Re: [LegacyUG] Exclude Problems not sticking
Yes; I have the same problem when setting the children on order Dan From: John Roose Sent: Tuesday, December 10, 2013 10:52 AM To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: [LegacyUG] Exclude Problems not sticking I appreciate the new problems icons, and what is found. I have one family line that had numerous children with gaps of more than 36 months. On the icon I right click, go to gaps tab, check exclude Warn if a child was born more than 36 months after previous child, click save. Sometimes the icon disappears immediately, sometimes I have to navigate elsewhere and come back and it is gone - no problem. However, many times it either does not go away or it returns when I again go to the screen. Has anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts? I do not want to globally remove this warning. Thanx. This is not the easiest of subjects, so I would ask if you have read the Help File? Would you also specify which version of Legacy you are using, this is most important especially just after a new release. To find the Help (V8.0.0.356 deluxe) click HelpHelp IndexSearch and enter “merge files” (no quotes) in the search box. Select “Merging Family Files” from the list. Whilst learning may I suggest that you make copies of your .fdb files, particular the main one, and practice on those. If you then are having problems please do come back to the list.
