[LegacyUG] Sourcewriter problem - help
Hi I've been using Legacy for many years but I now have a problem that I can't seem to fix. Whichever setting for Source Entry System I try to use (Customise Menu 7.1) it always defaults to the advanced "SourceWriter System" when I try to add a new source, I can't get it to either go to the Basic system or at least give me the choice. Thanks in advanced Ian -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list LegacyUserGroup@legacyusers.com To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/
[LegacyUG] Master Location List maps
Just noticed that the map area in my Master Location List is only showing a greyed out area ie. No map I've used this many times before without any problem. Have tried re-installing Legacy v9.0.0.189 and also the GeoDataBase and rebooting the PC without any luck. Any help would be most appreciated. [LegacyUG] Update 9.0.0.180 Screen font problem
I've just updated to the latest version 9.0.0.180 and all the screen fonts have been defaulted back to Ariel. I've tried to change them in Options 10.1 but it won't let me change them. Any ideas? Re: [LegacyUG] Problem with v9 Hints
Hi As this discussion seems to have off the original topic that I posted, I reiterate points 2 and 3 (particularly point 3) 2. It IS finding all sorts of spurious hints from the USA even though all my entries are UK based. 3. If I "Reject" Hints (e.g. the US ones) the little orange hint icon quantity doesn't change and next time I run the hints all the Rejects have reappeared. [LegacyUG] Problem with v9 Hints
I was looking forward to trying out the new HINTS part of Legacy 9 but so far I've been quite disappointed. 1. It's not finding anything that I haven't already entered (except see point 2 below). I can't be that good that I've found everything there is to find. :) I use mainly FindMyPast. 2. It IS finding all sorts of spurious hints from the USA even though all my entries are UK based. 3. If I "Reject" Hints (e.g. the US ones) the little orange hint icon quantity doesn't change and next time I run the hints all the Rejects have reappeared. Any ideas? Re: [LegacyUG] Photos not appearing in Legacy Charting
Hello Cathy You're an angel :) Thanks for the help. Ian On 22/05/2014 11:14 AM, Cathy Pinner wrote: Hi Ian, Take a look in Legacy at View Master Lists - Media Paths If any of the paths begin [Default Media Folder] that's where the problem is. This is a problem that was supposed to be fixed in a recent update but it was only fixed if the [Default Media Folder] is Documents\Legacy Family Tree\Media - that is, the Legacy default rather than your default listed at Option 6.2 - however, although that is working in the current Beta, it's not working in the the 427 release of Legacy. The work around is to do a Search and Replace on the Media Folder path and replace [Default Media Folder]\ with the actual path. Cathy Ian Beach mailto:ianbe...@hotmail.com Thursday, 22 May 2014 9:27 AM I have a problem with Legacy Charting where some photos don’t appear in the charts. It only happens with photos that I’ve added recently and I’ve only noticed it with the last couple of builds of Legacy (currently running v8.0.0.427) The photos appear correctly on the Family View and also in Reports, it’s only when I try Legacy Charting that the problem happens. I’ve been using the same photo editing program for quite a while (JPG format) so I’m 99% sure it’s not that that is causing the problem. Any ideas?
