I just read that Clooz now interfaces with legacy. Anyone use it and would you recommend it? [LegacyUG] Deleting duplicate aka's.
I have tried deleting duplicate notes, aka's, etc. I open it, clear it (I don't see a delete button) but it won't let me close it. Is there an easy way to do this? [LegacyUG] File for comparing DNA
How would one make this file for comparing autosomal DNA? Gather all the information on all the children and grandchildren for all direct ancestors known. This would be more than just an ancestor chart since siblings and their children, etc. must be included. I couldn't just go back and make descendent charts for all my ancestors because of all the duplication. There is probably a simple way that I am missing. Every one of my families seem to have the children out of order. Is there a way to sort all children without opening each family and sorting their children individually? Thanks. [LegacyUG] Moving children and replacing people.
My great grandfather has two children attached to him that belong on the other branch of the family. I tried removing them but my great-grandfather got removed instead. Is there any way other than entering all the information to get him back again? Also what is the correct way to remove children from a parent and put them where they belong? [LegacyUG] Combined files
I have tried to combine my family tree maker file with my Legacy file. When I run the duplicate thing it says there are no duplicates. But my old file use the list birthdays on the opening screen in the new one does not. Do you think they are actually merged? Will webinars on Legacy be marked if they are no longer applicable. I looked at one from 2011 about sources and he was using Legacy 7 and I wonder if it is the same for Legacy 8. Of course the thought behind it would still apply. I'm talking about the computer entry part. Also what other webinars might not apply now?
