Bingo.  In my opinion, that should be a default, not a choice.

Also, if there are multiple spouses, on the Descendant Options screen, be sure 
it is selected for All Spouses or at least the correct spouse.

Make sure that you have the correct TAG selected where it reads :Make Changes 
on # 

That needs to be the tag number you want.

Then when you click descendants, make sure the Number of Generations to 
include is set high enough to include everyone you want.

L8-385.  It was stable when I d/l it and works, when I know
what I'm doing. ;)  Each time I think it's time to update
it, there're new issues raised some of which sound relevant
to my usage.  I tend to go with functional outranks better.

Thing is, this WORKED in another database where it happily
tagged a couple thousand people.  I can't make it work now.

My view is to go along with whatever has been fixed and stuff any new bugs that
might have developed. I take the same approach that I do with Windows. Keep up
to date with whatever new versions and updates are released.

first three File Maintenance options?

Cheryl,

Make sure that you have the correct TAG selected where it reads :Make
Changes on # 
That needs to be the tag number you want.
Then when you click descendants, make sure the Number of Generations to
include is set high enough to include everyone you want.

 open advanced tagging
 Select tag #3
 select Descendants
 select Descendants (includes all)
 click OK

 I'm back at the Advanced Tagging screen and my options
 appear to be Close and Help.

 And whoever had the cursor is tagged, no one else is.

 Yes, Option 1.5 Tagging Options is tic'ed.

 Hand-patting requested.
