You rename the file so that when you run Media Relinker it will not find
the file it is looking for and will give you the Report. If you didn't
rename it, Media Relinker would simply tell you there were no missing files.

one.1  Use File Explorer to locate the picture. DO NOT rename the file from
within Legacy!2  Rename the file in some easily-remembered way.  Eg. delete the
J from JONES.3  In Legacy, click Media Relinker.  Legacy will report there are
n files missing and ask if you want to view the list in your text editor.
Click Yes.4  Your text editor will show the person and place where the file is
missing.  Eg.in my system it said "Medai File:  Death:  Source Detail: Anne
ASTLES - 1554] and then the location and name of the original file5  Repeat the
above for each file that is showing up as an error.6  Use File Explorer to
locate and rename the files, eg by putting the missing J back in Jones.-- Jenny

[LegacyUG] Find a person attached to a picture

2021-03-11 Thread Genealogy Bob
When I use FamiliesSync to export to my phone, I get a list of errors.
I have a few errors that say "Picture file not found". Fortunately the
file name has a person name, but I don't have any person with those
names in my file.  I recognize the names from another Family File, that
may have been used as a template many years ago.  I would like to
eliminate the errors, but can only do that by disassociating the media
from the person.  The relinker can find the picture, but that is not my
problem.  I want to find the person looking for that picture.

So my question is:
How do I find the person who has media attached for file named "JONES
Ralph, GA, 19271213.jpg"  It could have been attached to a person, to an
event, or to a source.
