Not exactly correct, Martha!

Look at the subject line - the OP was referring to My Heritage, not
FamilySearch.

Curious as to why you are correcting what Brian said. You are stating how
the login works for Family Search. However the OP was questioning the
login to My Heritage hints, and that is what Brian was responding to.
Family Search and My Heritage hints have nothing to do with each other.

This conversation no longer has anything to do with the original request
which was about MyHeritage so I will not reply further.

"FamilySearch Family Tree"

"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released a web

connected genealogical information. They call it Family Tree. Many of
the FamilySearch databases have been combined into one database and all
the records for each individual have been combined into folders. These
folders are linked to pedigrees.

To use the FamilySearch service you must have a free account where you
set up a username and password. These must be entered into the Username
and Password fields. After entering them you can click the Test Login
button to make sure everything is correct.

_You can have your hint searches refreshed from time to time. You can
set this to happen between every 30 and 120 days. This will let you see
new hint results as they are added to the service._

When high-confidence hints are found (at least a level of 4 out of 5),
you can have Legacy automatically automatch the people in your family
file to those in FamilySearch. This will fill in the FamilySearch ID
number into the correct field for each person. To choose this option,
select the Automatch... option.

If you would ever like to have all the FamilySearch hints refreshed for
all the people in your family file, you can click the Refresh button to
the right of the FamilySearch option. This will then start going through
all the existing FamilySearch hints in your family file and resubmitting
them in the background."

Re: [LegacyUG] Hints & My Heritage

2017-05-14 Thread Brian Kelly
What I described is accurate for what I have seen all the time I tested
MyHeritage Hints as a Beta tester and what I just saw as I followed
another MyHeritage hint in the latest build 9.0.0.169.

I have an account with the LDS church but I am not a church member and I
use that for LDS integration using the LegacyFamilySearch(LFS) component.

I also do not understand your reference to FS Integration. The LFS
component has nothing to do with hinting. Certainly that component will
do an automatic log in to the FamilySearch family tree site but that is
not Hinting nor is it strictly the Legacy Family Tree program because
LFS is a separate program from the Main Legacy program just like Legacy
Charting.

Re: [LegacyUG] Hints & My Heritage

2017-05-14 Thread Brian Kelly

You cannot have Legacy automatically log you in.

When you first see the hint look in the upper right of the MyHeritage
web page. You should see a Login link which will let you log in. Once
you have done that you should be able to open all the hints you follow
until you log out of MyHeritage.
