I use Thunderbird for e-mail, and McAfee for virus protection. For some time, I have had to turn off the McAfee real time scanning in order to get my mail from Earthlink in a reasonable time. Also have problems with my router losing its connection to the internet, requiring turning the power off and back on to fix that.
