Re: [LegacyUG] The Parents' Marriage Reference Has Been Removed
Thanks Brian - interesting concept and certainly a possibility after so many years of use. I've been thorough 8 of them trying to see what, if anything, might be missing and thus far it appears nothing is missing. Let it ride and see what happens next. Depending on your view settings for unknown people those "Unknown" parents may have been showing as blank in family view so you were not aware that there was an MRIN for them. Re: [LegacyUG] The Parents' Marriage Reference Has Been Removed
The removed marriage reference may have been for a marriage between unknown and unknown dummy people. Depending on your view settings for unknown people those "Unknown" parents may have been showing as blank in family view so you were not aware that there was an MRIN for them. Brian Kelly On 22-Apr.-22 10:59 a.m., Larry Lachance wrote: I find myself with more questions after updating to the latest version. I’ve always tried to “maintain” the database using “check and repair” mostly due to the size of the database. I’ve run “check and repair” for the first time with the latest LFT version and encountered an error report that I’ve not seen previously. 24, identical errors, with the following result: First I get – “There are 24 Individual record(s) that reference a Parent’s Marriage record that does not exist” Then it proceeds to list them, one by one – for example: “Individual: RIN 3132. The Parent’s Marriage reference has been removed.” For the next 23 records, only the RIN is different. So here’s the question – WHAT marriage reference was removed? In several cases, I go to the Individual RIN and this individual has NO parents listed. So is it THIS individuals parents the error is referring to (and were the parents removed), or is it the MARRIAGE of this specific individual that is being referred to?? For example, for the marriage of RIN 91194 to RIN 91193, there is NO marriage information to RIN 91193 AND the referenced error RIN 9119, has NO parents listed? Just trying to figure out what has been removed. [LegacyUG] The Parents' Marriage Reference Has Been Removed
I find myself with more questions after updating to the latest version. I've always tried to "maintain" the database using "check and repair" mostly due to the size of the database. I've run "check and repair" for the first time with the latest LFT version and encountered an error report that I've not seen previously. 24, identical errors, with the following result: First I get - "There are 24 Individual record(s) that reference a Parent's Marriage record that does not exist" Then it proceeds to list them, one by one - for example: "Individual: RIN 3132. The Parent's Marriage reference has been removed." For the next 23 records, only the RIN is different. So here's the question - WHAT marriage reference was removed? In several cases, I go to the Individual RIN and this individual has NO parents listed. So is it THIS individuals parents the error is referring to (and were the parents removed), or is it the MARRIAGE of this specific individual that is being referred to?? For example, for the marriage of RIN 91194 to RIN 91193, there is NO marriage information to RIN 91193 AND the referenced error RIN 9119, has NO parents listed? Just trying to figure out what has been removed.
