I wrote a tiny linux bootloader (without a "stage 2") which is able to boot a single kernel image. Because of the size limit (446 byte) there is no support for a menu and there is no support to load an initial ramdisk.
Now I need some help to find possibly hidden bugs. I would be glad if someone (who is interested in it) plays around with it. The source file is available at http://sebastian-plotz.blogspot.de. Any comments and hints are desired. I'm not sure if this bootloader is also useful for the book because GRUB is much more powerful and well tested. Thank you.
