mput and brackets in local filenames bug

last day i wanted to upload multiple files that contained a bracket, like
this:
"[foo]bar_1", "[foo]bar_2", etc

i tried:
mput \[foo\]*
but i got:
\[foo\]*: no files found

(using lftp-3.0.3 on OSX)

bug?
