[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 89604] EDITING: Paragraph double line borders unaligned

Version|4.4.0.3 release |4.2.3.3 release

--- Comment #6 from Robert Gonzalez MX ---
Today I have made tests to find in what versión the problem starts.
In LO 4.1.6.2 it was OK.

Tested with all the versions of the 4.2 branch and found that in LO 4.2.3.3 the
alignment begins to be present, and a single line is draw as the border of the
paragraph.

But in the border tab of the paragraph definition, the type of line defined is
a double line, thick top line and thin bottom line.

Also tested it with Version: 5.2.0.0.beta1
Build ID: 1e9933ef611c66bcded94b84052543c78cf1c223
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.2; UI Render: default;

It seems that the setting described here is an addition since this bug report:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99753#c20

You have to have at least as many references as set as minimum data size for
OpenCL here: 'Tools -> Options... -> LibreOffice Calc -> Formula -> Detailed
Calculation Settings -> Custom -> OpenCL Settings -> Minimum data size for
OpenCL use' (100 by default)

If that's met, the bug still occurs in current master build.

It's a problem with the OpenCL software interpreter. If 'Tools -> Options... ->
LibreOffice -> OpenCL -> Allow use of OpenCL' is disabled, but 'Allow use of
Software Interpreter (even when OpenCL is not available)' is enabled, this
issue occurs in Windows 7 for me as well. In fact, it occurred in Linux in the
first place because I have no OpenCL in the VM.

Note that despite the lack of warning, Calc has to be restarted after clearing
'Allow use of OpenCL' (reported as bug 100222).

I was referred to bug 75387 as a suggested duplicate when creating the other
report, but as it turns out, this is the duplicate of that bug. Oh well, we all
learned something.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100222] New: No message to restart LO when disabling OpenCL, but keeping softrware interpreter allowed

2016-06-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100222

Bug ID: 100222
Summary: No message to restart LO when disabling OpenCL, but
keeping softrware interpreter allowed
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.1.3.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: ba...@caesar.elte.hu

Introduction:
Currently, if I disable 'Tools -> Options... -> LibreOffice -> OpenCL -> Allow
use of Software Interpreter (even when OpenCL is not available)', there is a
message asking to restart LO for the changes to take effect, which is correct.

Bug:
On the other hand, if I disable/enable 'Allow use of OpenCL', there is no such
message. However, currently a restart is required even for that change to take
effect. Found it out with bug 99753, which only occurs with the software
interpreter: Calc had to be restarted after switching 'Allow use of OpenCL' for
the bug to occur.

Oh, as it turns out from duplicate suggestions here, bug 99753 is actually a
duplicate of bug 75387.

Do I understand correctly that you are e-mailing an ODT file saved from a Word
DOC, and it looks fine on the computer you're sending from, but not on the
receiving one?

So, I'm assuming the sender computer can open and display the ODT file
correctly, is that true?

Can you check if the LibreOffice version is the same on both computers? (and
let me know which version it is) Also, what operating system are you using?

I'm a bit opposed to having it show exactly as in Word, as I often work with
documents that have tens and tens of references (quite usual in academia, I
suppose) and if each entry in the list would span 2+ rows, it would make it
difficult to handle.

A searchable list would be just about excellent, though.

BTW, i never know if
1) it's a LO bug to be fixed because an extension shouldn't make LO crash
or
2) an extension may crash LO because it calls some api in wrong way (I don't
know if it's the case here) and so it should be NOTOURBUG.

Since there's no feedback after about 6 months, let's put this one to
INSUFFICIENTDATA.

Don't hesitate to reopen this tracker, if you still reproduce this with last
stable LO version (5.1.3)

Juliens's master bt is the same bt as
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100140#c1
which is a 5-2/master only new problem.

So I'll mark this as fixed as the original problem is apparently gone. While
there is a new known problem in 5-2/master

clang-tidy performance-unnecessary-copy-initialization

probably not much performance benefit, but it sure is good at
identifying leftover intermediate variables from previous
refactorings.

This case has a comment explaining the problem that appeared post

regression from...

clang-tidy performance-unnecessary-copy-initialization

probably not much performance benefit, but it sure is good at
identifying leftover intermediate variables from previous
refactorings.

This case has a comment explaining the problem that appeared post
change.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100219] New: OpenGL enabled initial launch of Calc closing with SEH error, have to run once wo OpenGL then OK

2016-06-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100219

Bug ID: 100219
Summary: OpenGL enabled initial launch of Calc closing with SEH
error, have to run once wo OpenGL then OK
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.0.0.alpha1
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: graphics stack
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vstuart.fo...@utsa.edu

With today's build of Master on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US
Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64)
Build ID: b2abb97a6545096d6952430f7ff37cadb1a23707
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default;
TinderBox: Win-x86_64@62-TDF, Branch:MASTER, Time: 2016-06-04_00:22:16
Locale: en-US (en_US)

On initial install, OpenGL is enabled, Writer opens no issue. But attempts to
launch Calc crash with generic "LibreOfficeDev has stopped working"

By disabling OpenGL rendering, Calc can be launched. Then on reenabling OpenGL
no further issues in launching Calc.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 100210] Calc Fileopen Data appears to be lost as only part of sheet is displayed

2016-06-04 Thread bugzilla-daemon

Pardon

I reported that the the file ended short at row 53 or whatever and there should
be 600+ rows of data.

Again I said that in the tables sheet it was calculating as if the data was
there.

If you look at the spreadsheet and just add up the items no way does that
exceed £1000. How else would you describe 547 rows of empty data apart from
missing or truncated? It is the first 6 columns or so is data the rest is
calculations.

As it happens, this file is not overly important, just frustrating.

The issue is THE DATA IS NOT SHOWING OR AVAILABLE PRESUMED LOST. THERE ARE
PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE USING THIS ON AN IMPORTANT BUSINESS FILE THAT COULD
POTENTIALLY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OF LOSING DATA!!

Hasn't cured the problem or recovered the data although th number of rows are
probably correct. All data from ROW 52 particularly in column A is duplicated
whereas all the data should be different. In column b there may be 1, 2 or 3
pieces of duplicated data before the data changes.

The reason for the data format is that it is used by other programs and
historic.

On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I gave a try but I only
could paste the whole data in the same cell.
Must have missed something I suppose.

Anyway, it seems we're on a middle of a transition.
We won't upgrade to a newer HSQLDB version because we want to invest on
Firebird but this last one is still experimental.
Moreover, an upgrade to Firebird 3.0 would arrive soon (I don't know when).

Hi

(In reply to Julien Nabet from comment #6)
> On LO Debian package 5.1.3.2, I don't see the option to give a new try.

Thank you Julien,

New steps to reproduce:

1. Open the CrashCancelFormulaToValue.ods attached
2. Select C1:C2 (2 cells containing formula)
3. Data> Calculate> Formula to Value

Expected & actual result: no more formula in C1:C2

4. Edit> Undo or Ctrl+Z

Expected result: formulas restore
Actual results:

C1: String displayed ok (2310 as expected) but formula (formula bar) not ok
(contains just =)

vs2013 + Intel GPU = build failure on LO 4.4+

2016-06-04 Thread Luke Benes

Since around 4.4-5.0 I had to disable all /sc unit tests to build LibreOffice
on my laptop with an HD 4000. I recently switched to a new HD 5000 machine and
noticed the same issue. Interestingly vs2015 builds fine.
Any ideas if this is a driver bug, our bug, or vs 2013 issue? Rather than
disabling all the unit tests again, is there a way to blacklist my GPU for the
unit tests?
Here is the build log:

Sorry, but we provide the Tools -> Options -> Languages "Date acceptance
patterns:" field to customize date input and CSV filtering in the exact format
desired as alternative to--or in addition to localization default.

Also, as noted the ISO 8601 formats are always honored.

In sheet cells correctly cast to hold dates, the first example will enter
correctly as 2015-05-30 if a date pattern of D-M-Y is added to the field.
Likewise the second will enter correctly when a pattern of M-D-Y is present.
Obviously, when working with data, user needs to be clear as to the
filter/input pattern they have set.

Meaning, it functions as intended enabling a user to manage their data and
adjust from defaults for their needs, while providing reasonable localized
defaults.

Would say NAB and otherwise won't fix.

From the Help:

Date acceptance patterns

Specifies the date acceptance patterns for the current locale. Calc spreadsheet
and Writer table cell input needs to match locale dependent date acceptance
patterns before it is recognized as a valid date. Default locale dependent date
acceptance patterns are generated build time, but it is possible to add more or
modify them in this edit box.

Additionally to the date acceptance patterns defined here, every locale accepts
input in an ISO 8601 Y-M-D pattern, and since LibreOffice 3.5 that also leads
to the -MM-DD format being applied.

Syntax: Y means year, M means month, and D means day, regardless of
localizaton.

I believe F10 and F6 are handled on the start center level and not something
that was a problem with Akshay's code, but what was wrong was the arrow key

Yousuf: do you reproduce this on recent LO version (5.1.3)?

Here's the location where it failed according to the message:
http://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/canvas/source/directx/dx_bitmapcanvashelper.cxx#92
 91 ENSURE_OR_THROW(
 92 Gdiplus::Ok == pGraphics->SetCompositingMode(
 93 Gdiplus::CompositingModeSourceCopy ), // force set,
don't blend
 94 "BitmapCanvasHelper::clear(): GDI+ SetCompositingMode

Considering these links:
-
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms535808%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
-
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms534175%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
I wonder if it could be interesting to retrieve the value returned by
