[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103919] New: Mailmerge e-mail does not send all merged documents

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103919

Bug ID: 103919
Summary: Mailmerge e-mail does not send all merged documents
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: fe...@sttc-nlp.nl

When doing a Mail merge for a newsletter, not all mails are sent, although the
wizard does create them all. (in any case when saving the documents)
If there is only one recipient No mail is sent, on the mailserver I get a
connect from the machine sending them immediately followed by a disconnect, no
data is received.
When there are 2 adresses, only the second gets sent, not the first. I see the
connect immediately followed by a disconnect of the first one.
If I have 10 mails, only the first 6 are sent, the last four never reach the
mailserver (no connection is made)

This is using HTML mailmerge messages, have not tested pdf or ODF sending.
Mainly because I need the mails to be HTML.

I run my own mailserver (postscript). If desired I can attach logging from the
server showing the connects/disconnects and the document I am trying to send.

The addresses and names in the document are retrieved from an LibreOffice Base
database query.

MM, DATUMDIF is the German localized name for DATEDIF.

Thomas, can you check if you right click the cell with DATUMDIF, and select
Format Cells..., which Category is selected? If it's Date, change to Number.

I tried with an empty spreadsheet, and if I added the formula to an empty cell,
it displayed the number correctly, but if previously Date was selected in the
column, then it would display the formula result as date (it's only a display
issue, changing Category to Number is a manual fix).

Created attachment 128737

screencopy of the master under Ubuntu 16.10 with Ambiance theme

I do not reproduce exactly the problem with my build of the master under Ubuntu
16.10 x86-64, but there is several glitches:
- selected icons are black
- widget +/- : the +/- is not white and make the widget awful
- scrollbar are too wide, but, there, the problem may be in the Ubuntu
implementation of GTK3 because I see the same thing for Firefox.

Best regards. JBF

loleaflet: add shutdown command to the admin settings

When we add more server controls (restart, f.e.)
we will need to move this to a separate page.

Also, we need to prompt the admin for reason,
which we can broadcast to all users when the server
goes down.

loolwsd: don't ignore zombies when counting loolkit processes

During tests we need to count the number of
oustanding loolkit processes. Since once a process
dies its parents must first reap it to get removed
from the proc table, we can't assume the process
is fully removed until and unless it's reaped.

In crash tests this becomes critical, since if
we load docs right after intentionally killing
loolkits, we will trick wsd into using a zombie
process. It will then fail at first communication
with the child. While this excercise early failure,
in practice this is unrealistic and will force
handling cases that in practice should not happen
(or when they do, nothing too horrible will happen).

By not counting zombies we can now wait in the crash
tests until forkit reaps the kits, then we test
the scenario where there are no ready children
when documents are loaded.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103483] Mouse pointer as pen does not work

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103483

Mouse pointer animation change stops while holding "CTRL" and pointing with the
mouse pointer on the border of the table.

Steps to reproduce

- Create a new slide

- Select a "Table", select 2 columns.

- Move the mouse to the corner of the "blue frame around the table" in order to
resize it.

- Press control - mouse pointer animation will disappear.

Tested in LibreOffice Impress 5.2.3.3
Windows 10, 64 bit.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103918] New: Keys for "back" in presentation don' t work when using automatic transitions

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103918

Bug ID: 103918
Summary: Keys for "back" in presentation don't work when using
automatic transitions
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.2.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Impress
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mcfle...@vrplumber.com

Created attachment 128736
  --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=128736=edit
Presentation that fails to reverse

While doing a presentation today where most slides had an auto-advance, I
discovered that most of the documented keys for "Back" in a presentation are
all non-functional, and instead advance the presentation (which is rather
sub-optimal):

* up arrow
* page-up (actually Fn+Up)
* ctrl-page-up (actually Fn+Ctrl+Up)
* backspace

experimenting this evening, the *only* key which actually works to move to the
previous page is:

* alt-page-up (actually Fn+Alt+Up)

So my guess is that the "transition" of switching to the next page is being
played and advancing the slide instead of moving to the previous slide. I can
easily recreate the effect by just adding an "advance to next slide after 20s"
transition to a presentation.

Without automatic advance, the key-bindings all work fine.

Steps to reproduce:

* start the presentation, move forward, try to move back using any of the above
key-bindings

Platform Kubuntu 16.10, up-to-date LibreOffice packages (1:5.2.2-0ubuntu2),
Dell XPS 15 9550

Sample file that demonstrates the failure is attached.

entered. Anyway, in both versions the field B1 adopts the text format of field
A1 rather than to keep its original currency format.

Regards
Tom

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103914] New: When LO closes menu, it sets window of that menu active

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103914

Bug ID: 103914
Summary: When LO closes menu, it sets window of that menu
active
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.2.3.1 rc
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: regression
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: UI
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mikekagan...@hotmail.com
CC: 79045_79...@mail.ru, caol...@redhat.com

When LO closes menu, it sets window of that menu active

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open two any LO documents (e.g. an empty Calc document and an empty Writer
document - I will refer to them below). Make them both visible on screen (say,
side-by-side).
2. In Calc document, right-click in greed area to open context menu.
Alternatively, click on a main menu item to open it down.
3. Now (while the menu is still open visible) try to left-click on page area of
Writer document.

Expected result: the menu should close, and Writer document should become
active.
Actual result: the menu does close, but the active window is still Calc.

When in Windows, this may be seen even better. After step 2, first activate
Writer window clicking on its header (this won't close the menu), and then do
step 3. This way, you will see that clicking on page area in already active
Writer's window brings another window (Calc's) active.

Reproducible with:

This option can be altered in the "Energy saver" window in the "System
settings" program. The option will be located at the top as a checkmark.
Computers without dual graphics card will not have that option. You can also
use third party programs like gfxCardStatus to manually cahnge the gpu in use.

+Helpcontent displayed in a browser directly from XML
+-
+
+This README shows how to display Helpcontent2 XML pages (XHP) directly
rendered in a modern browser.
+
+-
+Background
+-
+
+The XML files must be transformed into HTML files with the help of a style
sheet file (XSL).
+
+In the current helpcontent2, the processing is done in xmlhelp/ module, an
ancient XSLT processor developed circa 2005 (OpenOffice.org 1.5)
+
+Modern browsers such as Firefox, Chrome and Rekonq are capable to execute the
transformation direcly in the client, by getting an URL that returns a XML file
that contains the reference of the necessary XSL style sheet.

+
+This file is a modification of xmlhelper/util/main_transform.xsl, which was
designed for xmlhelp XSL processor.
+
+The XSLT online_transform.xsl is used inside help.js.
+
+help.js

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103691] Displaying errors in colour

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103691

> If devs take accessibility serious they could second the color with text in
> the tooltip, for instance.

Just to calm any concerns over this request, I will explain further my idea.
A color information input will only plug-ins that use it, not the default
pre-bundled features, unless their developers decide to do so.

I do not know if LanguageTool or other plug-ins will implement this like I am
envisioning it, but, the color extension should only be applied to extra
information. That means, for rules that are set as inactive by default (because
they controversial or they were not designed to be 100% accurate) or for rules
that can be ignored by the user a significant amount of times.
A consequence of this is that a user, that does not perceive the new colors,
will not lose information. He will just be unable to see the new
underlines/information.

*OFFTOPIC*

@Heiko Tietze
I would think about a different solution for users with any degree of color
differentiation impairment.

Create an option in accessibility settings that presets the color and style of
the underline when a spelling or grammar error is detected. For example, having
a red underline with a dot-line-dot pattern, or other already existing border
pattern.
Notice that this is a totally different enhancement request (that someone else
may report). This would fix the already existing problems with this type of
impairment as well as cover all the remaining color blindness situations
(Protanopia, Tritanopes).

@Joel Madero

Many thanks for your timely and well written comment.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103913] New: LibreOffice changes file extension and mime type of EMF file to .wmf and image /x-wmf

2016-11-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103913

Bug ID: 103913
Summary: LibreOffice changes file extension and mime type of
EMF file to .wmf and image/x-wmf
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha1+ Master
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: filters and storage
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: joergatdocumentfoundat...@worldwartweb.com

Description:
Attached is a file containing an embedded EMF file with the matching file
extension .emf and the assigned mime type image/emf.

After opening this file and saving it under a different name (no other
modification), the image file in the ODT got a new name with .wmf filen name
extension. Also the mime type in the manifest file is changed to image/x-wmf.
But the image file is binary identical to the one in the original .odt
document, therefore it must be still an EMF file, but now with the wrong file
name extension and mime type assigned.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file

The bug description should be:
fast typing character inversion ré becomes ér , té is displayed ét ...
it seems that the accented characters takes more processing time than the
"normal" characters before they are displayed.

sorry for my own character inversion...

Simplify vertical text drawing on macOS

Rotate only the rotated glyphs instead of rotating everything, then
unrotating the upright glyphs. No need for a rotated font either,
rotating the graphics is fine.

I mean, when someone needs to present a chronological bar starting in a date
and ending in another, in which you can read comments of facts regarding
specific dates, like you see in some history books. It is possible to insert
graphics and wordart...why not a chronological bar?
