@jose : I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by "option button with
the same name".

Could you please provide a sample Writer document and instructions to follow so
that we can try and reproduce ?

A document is created with 0kb (I waited 1minute). Perhaps I should wait
longer.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128661] By reopening a Calc file, the formulas referring to external named areas end up with #NAME

2019-11-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128661

EDIT
Sorry, misinterpreted an observation:
It's not the fact of changing the reference to an area from named to hard coded
that make it work, it's just the fact of having the external file opened...
In other words: open the files a spreadsheet refers to prior to open the
spreadsheet itself will lead to a working recalculation at the opening.

Tried to reproduce with test file submitted by OP. Still no repro.

The only common theme I see so far in the versions that crash is the German
locale (whether de_CH or de_DE).

I like it more than "Parent style because it's "verb", not "noun". Thus, it is
consistent with "Reset" and "Apply", which are verbs too.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128661] New: By reopening a Calc file, the formulas referring to external named areas end up with #NAME

2019-11-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128661

Bug ID: 128661
Summary: By reopening a Calc file, the formulas referring to
external named areas end up with #NAME
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.2.8.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: hardt68-regis...@yahoo.fr

Description:
A spreadsheet with reference to external areas, ONLY NAMED areas, will not
display the result of the formulas once the file is reopened. Even if it did
display propery by the previous closing. All cells containing a reference to
the external names areas will display "#NAME ?" as the figures are recalculated
at the file opening.

F9 and Ctrl-Shift-F9 have no effect.

To have a cell recalculated properly it needs to be modified (Replace all "="
with "=" will do the job).

WORKAROUND !
In a sheet with thousands of references to an external named area, it's just
enough to have one reference to the same area HARD CODED (not NAMED) to recover
all the references, including the names one (any reference to the external
spreadsheet may be sufficient).

Steps to Reproduce:
See description

Actual Results:
#NAME ?

Expected Results:
a calculated value

Reproducible: Always

Still unreproducible for me. Never get a crash. Even tried starting the text
entry with characters like +, *, -, etc made no difference.
In first cell I entered at least 4 lines of text, then select another cell with
mouse, then the line input with the mouse, entered some more multiline text,
chose another cell, repeat, etc, no crash.

RE: Android Beta (no Google Play)

2019-11-07 Thread Jonathan Aquilina
Hi Guys,

In order not to use google play you would need to download the APK from a
reputable source, maybe something we can host on the LO website somewhere. And
then just put it on your device memory card and navigate to the apk and install
manually.

For the same reason, I use apkpure.com instead Google Play.

That files affected have password protection is probably important.
Please help us by testing more and finding if it's just some password protected
files or all.
Can be done if you create a similar file with arbitrary content.
Aim is to have reproducible steps and that you attach here a file that causes
the problem.
If new file doesn't reproduce, please remove personal info from the existing
(by changing content), make sure it still causes the trouble and attach it.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 95357] TRACK CHANGES: Change tracking movement/action are inconsistent for replacements

2019-11-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95357

Dear Russell Nile,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat:
https://kiwiirc.com/nextclient/irc.freenode.net/#libreoffice-qa

Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear rodroes,

Please read this message in its entirety before proceeding.

Your bug report is being closed as INSUFFICIENTDATA due to inactivity and
a lack of information which is needed in order to accurately
reproduce and confirm the problem. We encourage you to retest
your bug against the latest release. If the issue is still
present in the latest stable release, we need the following
information (please ignore any that you've already provided):

a) Provide details of your system including your operating
system and the latest version of LibreOffice that you have
confirmed the bug to be present

b) Provide easy to reproduce steps – the simpler the better

c) Provide any test case(s) which will help us confirm the problem

d) Provide screenshots of the problem if you think it might help

e) Read all comments and provide any requested information

Once all of this is done, please set the bug back to UNCONFIRMED
and we will attempt to reproduce the issue. Please do not:

a) respond via email

b) update the version field in the bug or any of the other details
on the top section of our bug tracker

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear Gabor Kelemen,

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

Dear Alex Thurgood,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this

details of the problem have changed.

4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';

Warm Regards,
QA Team

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128660] New: Empty pop-up at the end of the search bar at some window widths

2019-11-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128660

Bug ID: 128660
Summary: Empty pop-up at the end of the search bar at some
window widths
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.0.6.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: b...@herbison.com

Description:
When the search bar is narrowed until the >> symbol first appears, clicking >>
shows an empty pop-up.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a wide LibreOffice Calc window.
2. Ensure the find bar is displayed.
3. Narrow the window slowly until ">>" appears at the end of the find bar,
4. Click the ">>".

Actual Results:
When the >> first appears the pop-up is empty. In other words, there is no
information to show but Calc wants you to check and see if there is
information.

See the attached image.

Expected Results:
The >> shouldn't appear until something visible is added to the overflow menu.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
This is a remaining issue after bug 101129 was addressed.

This occurs on 6.0.6.2 through 6.3.3.2 (and possibly earlier versions).

>From the system I'm currently using:

Version: 6.3.2.2
Build ID: 1:6.3.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1~lo1
CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 103092] FILESAVE: Calc: wrong position for rotated pictures to 270 degree after save

I have tested the problem with setting Calc to use Millimeter as unit.
There error happens on file save. In case of a rotation, the position is not
written directly as svg:x and svg:y but it is put into a translation(x y).
The parameters x and y of the translation should have a unit. But LibreOffice
does not write a unit. In case a unit is missing LO interprets the values as
1/100mm on opening. But it has written the values as 1/10mm.

In case Calc is set to use Centimeter, the unit mm is written to the parameters
a and y and the shape is at the correct position after opening. Tested in
Version: 6.4.0.0.alpha1+ (x64)
Build ID: 7c6226bee72805db7f0e567ca9f06c786a7d0da2
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18362; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: de-DE (en_US); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

So I would say, your initial observation "the decimal point is not correct" is
right.

It is an old error.
OK in Version 4.0.1.2 (Build ID: 84102822e3d61eb989ddd325abf1ac077904985)
but already broken in Version: 5.1.0.1.0+

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 128659] New: Cannot add AutoCorrect entries once the user/autocorr/acor_xx-XX.dat file is created

2019-11-07 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=128659

Bug ID: 128659
Summary: Cannot add AutoCorrect entries once the
user/autocorr/acor_xx-XX.dat file is created
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 6.3.3.2 release
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Linguistic
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: m.balaba...@gmail.com
CC: so...@libreoffice.org

Description:
Entries added in Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options... > Replace tab are
not saved after confirming the dialog if the acor_xx-XX.dat file for the
respective language already exists in user/autocorr.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new document in Writer.
2. Open Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options... > Replace.
3. Select a language for which there is still no acor_xx-XX.dat file in the
user folder; let’s say, for example, Afrikaans (Namibia).
4. Add one or more autocorrect entries by entering them and clicking the New
button.
5. Close the dialog with OK. An acor_af-NA.dat file is created in
user/autocorr.
6. Open Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options... > Replace again. Select
the same language. Your old entries are in the list.
7. Add some more entries. They appear in the list.
8. Close the dialog with OK.
9. Open Tools > AutoCorrect > AutoCorrect Options... > Replace once again.

Actual Results:
After step 9, only the entries from step 4 are in the UI list and in the .dat
file. The ones from step 7 are lost.

(Curiously, the timestamp of the file gets updated but the entries are not
added to DocumentList.xml.)

Expected Results:
All entries from steps 4 and 7 should be stored into the .dat file for the
language, appear in the list and be used for the AutoCorrect feature.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Version: 6.3.3.2 (x64)
Build ID: a64200df03143b798afd1ec74a12ab50359878ed
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0; UI render: default; VCL: win;
Locale: bg-BG (bg_BG); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Deleting the acor_xx-XX.dat file resets the bug (the above process can be
repeated from step 1).

Optimize Images Presets

If you would like to compress images in LibO the default settings are:

compress single image
-
JPEG Quality: 90
PNG Compression: 9
Resolution: 96 DPI

If you use the default settings for Presentation minimizer the default settings
are:

Impress minimize
-
JPEG Quality: 75
Resolution: 150 DPI

Gimp Defaults
JPEG Quality: 90
PNG Quality: 6

Krita Defaults
JPEG Quality: 80
PNG Quality: 7

Compress single Image
=
was used in writer, calc, ... everywhere the goal should be the print, cause if
it work on print, it will work on the screen to.
-> JPEG Quality: 90 don't compress them very much
-> PNG Compression: 9 mean no compression at all
-> Resolution: 96 mean optimized for the screen
-> conclusion less use of JPEG/PNG compression feature but lowest useful
resolution.

My proposal:
- JPEG Quality Default: 80
- PNG Compression Default: 7
- Resolution Default:
300 DPI for single image compression (default is optimizes for printout)
  150 DPI for impress

MenuBarManager: Honor visible property of menu items

This became a problem recently with the introduction of
notebookbar customization, as it allows to hide menu items.

As a solution, use the same approach as for toolbars (see
GenericToolbarController::statusChanged): Force menu item
visibility only if it was previously hidden via a special
status update of css::frame::status::Visibility.

Re: Need help for unit test about undo

2019-11-07 Thread Regina Henschel

Hi Xisco,

Xisco Fauli schrieb am 07-Nov-19 um 21:26:

Hello Regina,

What about using tiledrendering. e.g.
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sd/qa/unit/tiledrendering/tiledrendering.cxx?r=13fb343e#502
?

Ok, that contains how to use an UndoManager.

But how can I act with the shape, so that an undo-entry is generated?
UI actions, that produce the error are: changing line or fill
attributes, switching extrusion on/off, setting "Autofit text" on.

And would it be correct to add my test to that file? My topic is
different from 'tiledrendering'.

Kind regards
Regina

But I do not know, how to make a unit test about undo and redo
functionality.

> That is exactly the correct formatting

It sounds like you are not understanding the request. Let me try to explain. In
MS Word (and other WP's) you have the option of having the footnotes move *up*,
*directly*--*immediately* below the text on each page--no matter how much of a
gap would normally be present between text and footnotes. In other words, on
pages where there would normally be a 3" gap between the bottom of the text and
the top of the footnotes, this option would result in no gap. Instead, that
same 3" gap would appear between the bottom of the footnotes and the top of the
bottom margin, such that the footnotes section is simply moved *up* by 3".

> No, attachment 155413 [details] was prepared is with 'Default' page and
> paragraph style formatting with just paragraph line spacing set to double,
> as that seemed to be the requested format.

No, the requested format is found in attachment 154909, except that the
footnotes should be moved *up*. (None of the text on a given page--nor any of
the footnotes--should be moved to a different page--just the location of the
footnotes on each page should be higher vertically than they are.)

> @adaw2 . . . has been unable to prepare legitimate, reproducible example(s)
> screenshot(s) showing what formatting they seek

See attached. (Of course, this is just a mock-up, created by crudely hitting
the enter key a whole bunch of times at the bottom of the footnotes on each
page, and then using a section for the last page, since the feature does not
currently exist in LibreOffice, but it should be close enough for you to get
the idea.)

Thank you for your help.

Re: Need help for unit test about undo

2019-11-07 Thread Xisco Fauli
Hello Regina,

What about using tiledrendering. e.g.
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/sd/qa/unit/tiledrendering/tiledrendering.cxx?r=13fb343e#502
?

tdf#126994 ww8 export: Don't skip TOX end node

The section end node processes the section page break,
so skipping it after the Table Of Contents meant that a
page break here was lost.

This fix is specifically for DOCX although it could impact
.doc (which already worked, and still does) and .rtf
(which probably doesn't work with section end anyway).
Utlimately, it just calls OutputEndNode() for an end node,
so it shouldn't cause any difficulties.

Indeed, it is a nice way, although suffers from having the same name as the
newer feature, which works differently.

Here are instructions on using it in Draw:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Faq/Draw/101

Steve: is this enough for your needs?
