https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131977 V Stuart Foote changed: What|Removed |Added Summary|Diacritic (especially hat) |nodes for sm Attributes, |is misaligned when combined |e.g. hat, circle, are not |with small Greek characters |aligned correctly with the ||nodes of variables which ||are in italic form by ||default--nodes for ||diacritics need to be ||positioned to match the ||variables --- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote --- (In reply to V Stuart Foote from comment #2) > These are not individual sm nodes, rather, these are manifestation of poor > font metrics with the projects OpenSymbol font. > Actually, I was incorrect. The 'hat' and 'circle' are sm Attributes each in its own sm node, and using the non-combining values e.g. U+00e5 and U+02da --there are font metric issues still, but not with combining diacritics (what changing the font would otherwise resolve). Rather, issue is with sm variables that will render in italic, but the nodes for the non-combining diacritics for each of the sm Attributes do not. You can force centered alignment of the sm nodes by forcing the variable non italic--done with the 'nitalic' attribute: nitalic hat %theta nitalic hat %omega newline nitalic hat a nitalic hat %THETA nitalic hat a newline nitalic circle %omega nitalic circle %theta newline nitalic circle a newline but you loose italic variables, which folks prefer. => NEW bug 101174 is related, but this is a legitimate mishandling of nodes for sm Attributes. [Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132057] New: Calc jumping to "protected cells" during data entry in spreadsheets
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132057 Bug ID: 132057 Summary: Calc jumping to "protected cells" during data entry in spreadsheets Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.2.2 release Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64) OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Calc Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: ste...@sbennettsolutions.com Description: I have built several spreadsheets and set certain cells to be selected for input. Recently, when pressing enter or tab, cell focus has jumped to protected cells outside the format area. I have checked the formatting several times and have gone so far as to select all (except desired area), clear contents, delete entire columns and rows. The problem still remains, when entering data into the spreadsheets, using enter or tab goes "off sheet" to undesirable locations which is extremely annoying. This "problem started a few months ago (used to work fine). Hoped the recent upgrade would fix the issue, however it has not. I am using Libreoffice 6.4.2.2 in Windows 10. The problem persists on both my desktop and my laptop so it is not machine specific. Thanks in advance for any help or insight you may be able to provide. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create sheet and format desired cells as unprotected 2.Protect sheet 3.enter data into first first data cell press enter or tab Actual Results: After selecting the first unprotected cell in the first row, entering data and pressing "Enter" or "Tab", focus moves to next unprotected cell to the right for data entry if in the same row. If there are no more "unprotected cells in the current row, pressing "Enter" or "Tab" will jump to an "protected cell" outside the formatted sheet area. It will keep selecting cells to the right for several cells, then jump back into the formatted area at which time it will then stay within the formatted area until the document is closed and reopened. If I select the first cell in the top row and hold the "Enter" key until it runs through selecting "outside the formatted area" and returns to the unprotected cells, I can then begin entering data and jump to each cell in sequence as expected. The issue reasserts itself every time the document is opened for data entry. Expected Results: select first cell for data entry, move to next unprotected cell to the right for data entry on "Enter". Continue to the right until last unprotected cell is entered, then move to the first unprotected cell in the next row for data entry. Continue until entering data in all cells across each row is complete, then return to first data cell in the top row when pressing "Enter". Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: If I select the first cell in the top row and hold the "Enter" key until it runs through selecting "outside the formatted area" and returns to the unprotected cells, I can then begin entering data and jump to each cell in sequence as expected. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 131977] Diacritic (especially hat) is misaligned when combined with small Greek characters
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131977 --- Comment #3 from Ville Aakko --- Thanks for your reply. I made a replacement table from Opensymbol -> Dejavu Sans, and that actually makes things even worse. Now diacritics are offset to the right for all characters (including greek and non-greek). Do you have any other font suggestions a user could try to get useful output? (preferentially something which is easily available, but not necessarily the same, in most Linux Distributions, Windows and OS X?) Also, reading bug 101174 report as a user, it is not clear it should cover this issue. However, if it is supposed to cover this one, I believe this bug report can be closed as a duplicate in that case (or, perhaps a dependency between the bugs should be made?). The goal (IMO) should be: LibreOffice math should handle diacritics correctly and output clean math formulas out of the box, or at least with minimal user intervention (in case the problem is unavailability of fonts with non-restrictive licensing which prevents bundling of a sensible font with LO). Using that font replacement table seems like a kludge, and I still can not get acceptable results with the help of it. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132028 --- Comment #8 from FR --- (In reply to Caolán McNamara from comment #7) > > maybe its some missing dbus related thing. > Thanks for this hint. I have a minimalist system with only the FVWM window manager and dbus is disabled. But as I test, I started dbus and then started LO. Now the menu bar is visible and functional. Also, the errors messages that I pasted previously are gone. However, keyboard input is still extremely sluggish. For example, if I hold down a key in Writer the repeat rate is about 1 per second whereas normally it is several times a second. So half the problem is solved. Problems porting LibreOffice to FreeBSD/powerpc64/clang
Piotr Kubaj has posted before about his troubles compiling LibreOffice for FreeBSD/powerpc64, with LLVM/clang. I took up the task to finish his work, but I've done all I know to do, and am running into strange segmentation faults. Attached is my patchset that builds successfully with GCC9 on FreeBSD 12.1, and compiles with Clang 10 on FreeBSD 13, but gengal.bin segfaults when building 'normally', but when building with --enable-debug, it triggers a weird exception loop, where it's in an infinite loop looking for Gallery/people/people.thm, with 'N' ever increasing. After spending a few days looking at it, I've been unsuccessful determining if it's a bug in libunwind, libreoffice, or clang/llvm. I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this. Only after setting them to > "Yes" and saving (which is then successful to make the "Yes" stick) the > report worked as intended. Did you test it with the attached database? I tried it again and again. I 'm not able to save "Auto Grow" → "No" for the second field if the first field is set to "Yes". I could execute it right way while opened the Report Builder for editing and will see the red arrows, but when it is saved and closed and I execute the report auto grow will be executed for all fields in the row. Reopened for editing the report and the field I set to "No" is opened with the property "Yes" for "Auto Grow". https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=131664 --- Comment #4 from Stephan --- Created attachment 159493 --> https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=159493=edit Report Layout I took your workaround and applied it to my report. In my report, only the fields "Task Description" and "Task Source" may be larger than the reserved space. The other fields will not ever overflow. Now however, I set the "Task Number" field (not the label in the header) "Auto Grow" -> "Yes" (also the other fields) and after saving the report, the attribute remains set to "Yes" and the report can be executed any time now, without having to manipulate the arribute "Auto Grow" every single time. So for the time being I am happy. I still think, it remains a bug. I would like to keep authority on which fields are allowed to "Auto Grow" and which ones not. Now "Task Number" can "Auto Grow" which wouldn't be necessary. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 132050] New: Repeated load/save/close cycles result in some drawing objects changing position over time.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=132050 Bug ID: 132050 Summary: Repeated load/save/close cycles result in some drawing objects changing position over time. Product: LibreOffice Version: 6.4.2.2 release Hardware: All OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Draw Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: brianjheis...@gmail.com Description: "Drift of Some Drawing Objects in Grouped Items" In some grouped items (it is not clear why it only affects some), constituent drawing objects (shapes or lines) will drift in one direction (generally left) with respect to the remaining drawing objects in the group. I have only observed this over the course of several load/save/close cycles. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the attached demo file. 2. Open the demo file. 3. Note the gray shaded box's position. 4. Save the demo file. Close it. Open it. 5. Repeat step 4 nine times. 6. Observe the change in the gray shaded box's position. Actual Results: The gray shaded box drifted to the left. Expected Results: The gray shaded box should have stayed in the same location. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: This bug has been reoccurring since sometime in 2018 and maybe before. I have just now managed to isolate it in a demo file. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org https://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
