Dear HD,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today,
LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed
bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this
bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the
details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in
getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice
from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information
from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to
RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help
- About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular
meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a
REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your
bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156760] New: Having a search dialog open makes window keep focus after alt+tab

2023-08-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156760

Bug ID: 156760
Summary: Having a search dialog open makes window keep focus
after alt+tab
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Calc
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: mister...@protonmail.com

Whenever a search dialogue (ctrl+f) is opened, I can't alt+tab out of Calc.
This happens about 90% of the time (it does work randomly). The window is
actually out of focus, as I can see the transparency kicking in, but it won't
let the other windows into foreground. Most of the time this applies to
alt+tabbing, but rarely, even clicking the task tray to get a different window
into focus triggers this. Closing the search prompt makes Calc behave normally
again.

Arch, Linux 6.4.10, XFCE on Xorg.

However, another issue arises... the arrow is black over a dark background (see

Using the command prompt with this command as suggested by Barry Kramer did
prevent the hanging from using Copy and Cut on my system.

"C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program\scalc.exe"

The -env:UserInstallation= etc. did not work; fatal error as user installation
could not be completed.

Of course it's a clumsy workaround to have to use the command prompt. I sure
would appreciate some brilliant coder figuring out how to fix this bug and
include the fix in an update to Libre Office!

A group does only grouping and has no style at all. Changing this in
LibreOffice requires a change to the ODF standard.

If you stay in OOXML format, you could keep the information in the
InteropGrabBag. The SdrObject has already the member
mpFillGeometryDefiningShape. There is a comment in
https://opengrok.libreoffice.org/xref/core/include/svx/svdobj.hxx?r=bf570139#272.
Perhaps that is usable in this context.

Are you going to implement something?

The yellow background belongs to the cell, the orange background is a paragraph
background. You can have a different background color for each paragraph in a
cell. The paragraph background is in addition to the cell background.

The relation ships become better visible, when you use significant padding. Go
to the Border tab of the table properties and the padding to 0.5 cm, for
example.

This is PP's Video Tools - Format - Video Shape feature, which essentially puts
a video fill onto a shape, much like a color/bitmap/gradient/hatching fill.
I think this is a completely missing feature in Impress.

sometimes the tables appear cropped when handling high volume of text (I don't
know how to reproduce it)
other times it is only in appearance, after joining the pages (double click
between the pages), to make the problem appear is to join the pages and create
tables or copy and paste, or edit text and tables.
it is an annoying problem because it damages the pagination and you have to go
back to restart the structure (double click) so that the text reappears as it
is in reality.

Yep, building against a patched cppunit to run tests in deterministic
order fixed most of the problems.

However, I now get few slowcheck tests failures (in 7.6.0.3) which are
crashing against libuno (I think). For example:

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156758] New: different command for background

2023-08-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156758

Bug ID: 156758
   Summary: different command for background
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.5.5.2 release
  Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Writer
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: kep...@gmail.com

Description:
according to the command that I use to put the background of the tables, in
that same way I have to change the attribute, I can not remove the background
if it is not with the same command
in theory it is not a issue, but if I have a text that someone send me and they
have edited it with different paths for the background, it can become a issue
to change the backgrounds if each cell has different command for the background

Steps to Reproduce:
1.create a table
2.change the background with a command from the main tool bar
3.try to change the attribute with a background option from the table tool bar
(the opposite also doesn't works)

Actual Results:
the background cannot be changed except with the same order

Expected Results:
only one order to change it, or any order can change it

Reproducible: Always

Description:
I am handling a font with different documents, and when copying and pasting
between documents "suddenly" a different font with the same name comes out, and
it messes up the job.
In previous versions of LO, times new roman was repeated in the font list, one
in italics (the name) and the other normal, now only one font appears but it
keeps going through the middle of the work.
there are also problems when inserting text in tables, sometimes it "jumps" and
changes size even though the text in both files is set to a different size.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I don't know how to reproduce it
2.This time I copy and paste from a document that already has fonts messed
3.

Actual Results:
messed fonts

Expected Results:
stable fonts

Related tdf#156630 and tdf#156629 force snapshot of alpha mask

On macOS, with Skia/Metal or Skia/Raster with a Retina display
(i.e. 2.0 window scale), the alpha mask gets upscaled in certain
cases.

This bug appears to be caused by pending scaling of an existing
SkImage in the bitmap parameter. So, force the SkiaSalBitmap to
handle its pending scaling.

This change consolidates the three duplicate fixes added in the
following commits into the AlphaMask(const Bitmap&) constructor.

  commit 12fd870113a663dde5ceb38c61f1986a34095d0e
  commit ce2d9f5dd4b6a26847c4779bce4866d969ff4400

From my light testing, the bitmap's SkImage is not scaled except
when running macOS with a Retina display. The only exception is
that this fix will be triggered on all platforms when exporting
to PDF images with an alpha mask.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156756] New: Icon sizes for the toolbar doesn't correspond to the actual sizes of icons

2023-08-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156756

Bug ID: 156756
Summary: Icon sizes for the toolbar doesn't correspond to the
actual sizes of icons
   Product: LibreOffice
   Version: 7.6.0.2 rc
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: LibreOffice
  Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: vivada...@hotmail.com

Description:
Hi,

On LibreOffice 7.6.0.3, in Tools > Options > View, you can change the icon size
for the toolbar. "Small" should correspond with the smallest size, "extra
large" with the largest size, and so on, but this is not the case. I've made a
video so you can see what's going on.

Also, when I select an icon size, close LibreOffice and reopen it, the size of
icons is changed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Tools > Options > View.
2. Try an icon size for the toolbar
3. Click on "Apply".
4. Try a different icon size.
5. Click on "Apply".
6. Compare the results.

Actual Results:
The actual sizes don't correspond with the names of the sizes. Everything seems
a bit random.

Expected Results:
"Small" should be the smallest size, "extra large" should be the largest, etc.

Reproducible: Always

I have changed the creation of the persistent drawing so, that now the points
which belong to one pen move in slideshow are in one object in edit mode. That
does not solve the problem, that too many points are generated, but the
handling is now easier in edit mode.

Generating of points is somehow related to time. When you move the mouse
quickly, you get less points than moving the mouse slowly.

Generating of the points is located in virtual bool handleMouseDragged( const
awt::MouseEvent& e ) in

Do you see the Print Preview toolbar? It is shown below the Standard toolbar.
Maybe it is undocked.
You can exit the print preview mode hitting Escape key.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156730] FILESAVE: Unable To Save A Large Spreadsheet in Calc V7.5.5.2

2023-08-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156730

--- Comment #7 from temp...@nospammers.ignorelist.com ---
Base on what m.a.roisv found, I downloaded
LibreOfficeDev_7.6.1.0.0_Win_x86-64.msi (7.6) from the dev area and installed
it. When I tried it, using my Quick Launch shortcut, the problem “seemed” to
be still there. When I checked “About” however, it said I was still running
7.5.5.2 (7.5). On further investigation I found that 7.6 had been installed
separately from 7.5 and not as an upgrade. As a result I next used the newly
installed desktop icon to launch Calc 7.6 and when I loaded my large file I was
then able to save it.

At that point 7.4 and 7.6, based on my results, both had no problems with a
large file, but 7.5 did. My next thought was the long shot that the problem
with 7.5 might be something that developed as part of the upgrade process that
7.6 did not use. As a result I went back to my square one image, uninstalled
7.4 and removed all references that I could find including the short cut I had
created and the leftover files in the Users Apps area. I then used CCleaner to
remove any references it could find of Libreoffice in the registry.

I next installed 7.5 and tried saving the large file again. The problem
remained so it does not seem it has something to do with the upgrade process.

The bottom line is that it appears the problem is in someway connected to 7.5
alone, at least on my PC. The good news is that it also appears I can either
switch to the dev version of 7.6 now, or stay with 7.4 until the production
version of 7.6 is released. Either way, I now consider this a non problem for
me.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 156617] EDITING: Spellcheck behaves incorrectly when adding to a user dictionary

2023-08-13 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=156617

I don't know whether this should remain as a bug, but quite by chance I seem to
have fixed it on my laptop when I was trying to fix something else.

When I let LibreOffice open normally, the mouse cursor is offset from the text
cursor position. This led me to a suggested fix of launching with
"SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen" which fixed the mouse problem and the spellcheck issue.

When my system does the normal LO open, I see the rendering as "default; VCL:
gtk3" but with "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen" I get "default; VCL: x11".

I also tried the option "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=kf5" which also resolved both the
spellcheck and mouse position issues.

I'm not sure whether that makes this a gtk bug or a LibreOffice bug.

^ and (){0} or .{0} works fine

$ also find cells with numbers, text or formula; so, is not a good option.

The behaviour described in the original (English) report is not found in LibO
Calc V 7.5.3.2 under vWin 10.
The focus frame is shown, and actual selection isn't preserved for deactivated
sheets anyway.

This may be loosely related to the fact that a selection made by user code in
Basic running in the IDE is not correctly highlighted when returning from the
Basic IDE: Only the headers are.
