can you also share WHY you do think it's usefull?

I would like to suggest just to break lines more often. Some lines has
more than 5000 columns!!!

I yust did have a look at an .fodt file (i did not know this format),
and i do not think that breaking up lines is a good thing within that
format, because it's XML.

If you want shorter 'lines' in this XML, than you should write shorter
sentences ;)

What about break a line each 80 columns?! This will help a lot the
versioning systems and also when you need fix merges.

Thank you again and Happy New Year to everybody.

i thought DDE was dead?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Data_Exchange
NetDDE was still included with Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP
Service Pack 2, although it was disabled by default. It has been removed
entirely in Windows Vista.[3] However, this will not prevent existing
versions of NetDDE from being installed and functioning on later
versions of Windows.

The included JRE should be (according to my opinion ) be the latest

But maybe its a better idea to give some explanation to the user about
what JAVA does, and what its needed for , and provide above link?

You will need the 'offline' version, if you put it on a CD/DVD.

At the bare minimum, section 8 EXPORT REGULATIONS. is a deal breaker.

For the rest, I believe Java is still needed for some wizards and Base.
I can't be 100% sure, these are not parts of LO I'm familiar with.

If its only 'some wizards', then i would like to know which wizards,

And for Base, who is using that? I dont think it gets the full attention
it deserves, but i did not have a look at it meself.. ;)
i wonder how manu active users Base has (someone should start a poll
about it ;)

So, if user does not use wizards and/or Base, the question is if JRE
should be included in the install

Maybe you should do a search on our bugzilla for bug reports against it.

(Sure, personally I don't think Base makes much sense either, and
would gladly drop it. But try telling that to all the people who
think it is an essential part of this suite.)

Yeah, the values there haven't been updated at any stage, so all of our
 versions say that :-)

I imagine you have the git master, so
 ./g checkout libreoffice-3-3-1
should switch your git to it, and
 ./g checkout master
 would switch back to head
 but either way it'll call itself 3.3.0 330m19(Build:6) :-)

 C.
