Wow, one month to get to this mail - anyway, if anyone has hints on
how to keep especially the pdf backend working, that would be
appreciated. Could be a nice start of adding a feature to have
librsvg render natively to pdf ...

We don't use these AFAIK. What platform was this one btw ? I guess
there's the possibility that where we stuff the internal cairo into our
install set that it'll be used by external software linked to Libo, and
those bits might need those parts, e.g. gtk2 ?

True true, but hopefully our cairo will only be used for gtk2 stuff
linking to LibreOffice itself, and they shouldn't be printing things to
pdf I hope.

So - sounds good to disable them to me,

Just wondering whether we need the postscript and pdf surfaces in our
internal cairo build. The configury is not able to find the dependencies
and bails out there because they are now recommended surfaces. Adding
