I do not reproduce with my own text documents.

Please, could you attach a test document with which you have this problem?
Before uploading the file, take care to remove all personal data.

Did LibreOffice produce a crash report? If so, please attach it too.

Set status to NEEDINFO. Please set it back to UNCONFIRMED once you have
provided the requested test file.

Best regards. JBF

Fair enough I guess. Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Yes, it is my opinion that if you provide a method of install that you support
it. Example, you can use a few different PPA, but they are not official and
they are not on your site. However, the snap is and also the appimage and deb
packages. You could also simply add some text saying that this is provided by a
third party, meaning the snap, so it is clear that you do not support it.

I like your product and I mean not to be negative to you. I am not using the
debs from your site directly. Thank you for your efforts.

[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 123478] Impress crashes immediately when EDITING and trying to insert a specific video file

So I installed the following build of version 1.14 of gstreamer from

https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-service/+archive/ubuntu/3267-deletedppa/+build/14926540

gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad_1.14.1-1ubuntu1~ubuntu18.04.1_amd64.deb

and Impress now works.

It looks like the standard version of gstreamer installed with Ubuntu 18.04 is
the culprit. However I don't know if this build, being experimental, might
break something else.
